1. I'd like to see a rematch but really don't have an opinion who should be next. Once, Silva planned to go after others by moving up a division to prove he's the best in the world. Last week he said he was staying in his division for good and if anyone from another division wanted to fight him they would have to come to his division. This week he'll fight who UFC wants him to. Not reel consistant or in a hurry to go after other top fighters.
2. Let compare apples to apples. Footballs a team sport with a lot of people to fault and praise. Fighting is one on one. Unlike football, when you fight once, twice a year, that one bad fight means something, especially if you’re claiming to be the best PFP fighter on the planet. I won’t argue the rematch outcome. But let’s not forget the Machida Shogun rematch. Silva has gotten complacent and taken his opponents for granted. He may very well come back with a vengeance. I have a hard time excusing one bad fight especially when he has been criticized for his past efforts. It really looked like he came out at the beginning of each round ready to attack and was put back on his heels with not much to challenge back. Sonnen shut down his game. Still the deserving champion though.
3. I don't disagree with his championship status. It's the #1 PFP status that I disagree with. GSP got rocked and the loss was a wake up call for him and no one has come close again. Lesner got rocked for one round and came back the second round. I'm sure it was a wake up call for him. Silva was dominated. The best fighter in the world can't spend four and a half rounds on his back waiting on the right opportunity to present itself two minutes before the fight ends. It either messed with confidence or woke him up. We'll see his next fight, he may come back better than ever. Then I'll change my mind.
4. I hear what you're saying and all great fighters get rocked and tested but the absolute best do not get totally dominated for four and a half rounds. Now, Silva was tested and maybe this was a wake up call that told him he is not untouchable and maybe he'll know he has to train even harder and not take his opponents too lightly. I think he had grown complacent. Way to go Hughes! I love his future plans, take of the Fall and do some hunting, spend time with his family. Sheilds would be good fight.
5. It was a great night of fighting. Silva showed why he is the champion but IMO lost the PFP claim. He spent four and a half rounds on his back being totally dominated. He had no answer for four and half rounds. Not only that, Sonnen ran his mouth like no one has before and then came out and backed it up. Also IMO with all Sonnen's smack talk and the past critisism Silva should have had something to prove. Champion, yes. PFP, no. JMO Now, if his claim of hurt ribs is true, that is something to concider. The other fights were great too.

7. Tipical Hooks interview. He knows how tough the schedule is and he did it for a reason

9.
Hasn't handled pressure well?  did you watch the playoffs in 2004 and 2005?
That's five, six years ago. I'm talking the last couple of years as his numbers and confidence has dropped. I still hope he picks it up for the Yanks
10. No suprise. He was already slumping and hasn't handled pressure well but I hope he picks it up and gets back to his old slugging ways.
11. I'm a fan and I know changes had to be made but all the faces of the Astros are gone. It's a totally new age and it's hard to see happen.
12.
I am glad for both Berkman and Oswalt, I hated to see them rotting away on this team. Excited that they will get a chance to win again. As for the Astros, I am glad to see them finally moving in a different direction and finally realizing that they suck. Don't really understand why Brett Myers would be untouchabe, he just might bring back better prospects than you get in both the Roy and Lance deals because of the money he is owed the remainder of the year. Just wish there was a way they could get rid of Carlos Lee.
I'm also glad for both of them but Lance wasn't helping the Stros much hitting just over 230. I also agree about Carlos Lee.
13.
honestly IMO i don't see how yall can even compare LCM to PNG. your talking about a team who went 4-6 to a team who went 11-1. when we played lcm we had our third string offense and defense in there after halftime. personally i think its gonna be a walk away for PNG.
It wasn't a walk away last year. It was a decent game.
14.
yeah brenhamfan he had seven yards against youll and we did lose but you cant honestly tell me you werent just a little bit worried until the last second run off the clock and an interception  that  ended the game. come on you have to agree going 93 yards in less than a minute scoring a td, then an onside kick which we did recover, then going down to the wire, im not gonna mention that bad call made by the refs when dron burned you lls #81  who bytheway was holding onto dron all night  slipped out of bounds and they blew the whistle saying dron stepped out of bounds. if they dont call him out of bounds cubs lose 28-27  but they didnt see the holds and did call him out, your defense was stellar in the first half but the second half it was a different story,
Thanks for not mentioning it.  :)
15. Good job logo police! Once they have finished scanning the nations high schools they can move on to Pop Warner.  ::)
16.

Let's test. If a kid doesn't use steroids due to the test, then the testing has done its job.
I agree, random steroid or drug test gives a kid a way to avoid the peer pressure.
...and no reason to wait until we have a very serious problem before we do something about it; like we do about so many other things.
17. Where were they bank fishing? Under lights? live or artificial?
18. Success in 7 on 7 translates to optimism for the fans and confidence for the players. Disappointing performance or no participation at all does not translate into a disappointing season.
19. At this time of the summer their passing game is prepared enough to compete with the passing games of some of the best teams in the state in touch football. They also have a load of experience and confidence going in to the season. By your logic Lake Travis winning state 7 on 7 means nothing even though they're ranked 1 in the state. No one predicted an LCM deep playoff run like you described it but don't belittle a great summer accomplishment that helps prepare their team for the upcoming season.
20.
arguably the most famous sports team owner in baseball history.
In all sports

22.
Our OL rocks!....Jr's/Soph last year....Sr's and Jr's this year....there will be a bulldozer rolling forward at the snap of the ball. Lt - Justin Brock - 6' 5" 245 (returning starter) LG - Lucas McCain - 6' 3" 300 (back up last year) C - Keshawn Davis - 6' 1" 260 (returning starter) RG - Quiton Pollard - 6' 2" 235 (returning starter) RT - Jarred Castle - 6' 3" 250  (returning starter) 1st Sub - Jermain Bowman - 6' 2" - 290 (back up last year)
Impressive For those of us not in the know; who's team are we talking about?
23. I have to somewhat agree with the article. A quick opponent with a heavy fist and a little better indurance could be Lesnar’s fall. The final arm triangle was his only highlight of the fight. I don’t know how it promotionally compares with other fights but I know I sure was looking forward to it and really enjoyed most of the fights Neither fighter can compare to GSP or Silva
24. Carwin jumped on him just like I thought he would. He just didn't finish him off like I thought he would. Props to Lesnar for lasting the first round and coming back though. I don't know if Lesnar will be in a big hurry for a rematch. Some other really good fights last night. Lebon had a great fight and showed his toughness. Bonner took some shots and still won. I didn't expect either of those two to win. A really good night of fights
