  1. understand completely and he may decide to go to a D-1 but just trying to give reasons why JUCO might be a better fit Many times players with a chance to be drafted in the next couple of years will head to a JUCO instead of D1 also if they have a better chance starting immediatly they'll play at a JUCO. On a lot of levels there are better players at the JUCO level people in baseball circles know about San Jac they are a powerhouse ranked 5th in the nation right now.
  2. Nate Svoboda was pitching for the Brook and Jeffrey Jolivet for Ozen.
  3. West Brook up 1-0 after 3 innings. Scored run on a balk. Think the Bruin pitcher had 9 k's through 3 innings I didn't see the 1st. Ozen is throwing a kid that throws A LOT of offspeed stuff keeping WB off balanced, lots of K's and pop ups.
  4. I played 2 summers with Royal in the men's the league he was still dominate!
  5. No Ashley Elam?!? Even though I did bat .667 my senior year (so I only went 2 for 3 cause I tore my hamstring don't tell anyone LOL) I would feel uncomfortable seeing my face on a mountain ;D
  6. PN-G: Jay Stone, Ben Weber, Lew Ford, Allen Harrington HM: Doug Recio, Kyle Stues, Curtis Legendre, Eric Harrington
  7. Nederland lost to Cleveland in the 1st round 76-53. As far as the board, I hope to see the dome full of them next home game. And as much as I love the Hawk Hecklers, my cuz played basketball there, the dry erase board has been around for decades at all levels.
  8. What's weird is I know for a fact by video and yearbook info that PN-G made the playoffs in 1989 beating Bridge City in a play-in at TJ. Then they lost to Galena Park in the 1st round but there's no record of them being in on the UIL page.
  9. Your'e right I just checked in 93 Lincoln and WO-Stark came out of our distritct. Maybe someone should let the Port Arthur News know they've been saying 93 over and over.
  10. Just on a sidenote Nederland made the playoffs in 1993 English was on the team.
  11. They can be like Duke fans all they want as long as they don't add Speedo man like the Cameron Crazies have LOL! Seriously I find myself now over 10 years out of school saddened by what I'm seeing at most of our local schools where higher ups have taken character out of each school. My name is Ashly you think I didn't hear it when I played baseball come on WO-Stark was the worst but I did my talking on the field. Guess what I don't have nightmares over it I'm OK. Seriously it's time for the world to just lighten up and have fun.
  12. I also liked when he was asked by a reporter about the rivalry with Nederland, he's response was he doesn't care about Nederland he cares about his team and getting them in shape, he won't worry about them til they meet on the field.
  13. All those are good programs I miss good ol Woodrow Wilson in PA. That gym was crazy with only balcony seating and no out of bounds space. On a side note my team from Groves was the first to beat Woodrow in our schools history in the 7th grade, then we beat them again in 8th and had to be escorted out of the gym.
  14. They seem to be looking good so far no losses in regulation. Love it for Coach Aimee Bates she's great she actually was a great softball player back in the day that played for my dad's travel team. In case y'all don't know she's Beau Hale's sister.
  15. I was the one that didn't report it and not because I went to PN-G. To me it's a non-story at this point. I didn't show the LC-M list either though because these aren't the finalists these are huge lists. If a school doesn't want to release the list oh well I'm not going to lose sleep over it even though of course for personal reasons I'm very curious.
  16. Next home game is Thursday the 15th against the Texas Fuel (formerly the South Texas Showboats). Should be a much closer game.
  17. OK just confusing with two Milburn's
  18. So Milburn is in the Bridge City and Gamble Tournaments?
  19. Dates have been offered for the YMBL for next year. Their first choice has been denied because it was during finals week and Roc would like his teams to be playing at home. Another option has been offered when Lamar will be on the road. The original date the YMBL asked for this year was a week earlier that's why LU was on an 8 day Kentucky road trip these are the facts. I'm not sure why this side of the story wasnt given.
