  1. Thunder and lightning here at the station
  2. The bad part, the women's line is staying the same so it means there will be an extra line out there to make things a little more confusing. Plus teams like Lamar with painted arcs might need to repaint.
  3. Is it just me or does it look like the games at West Brook and Lamar might be ppd here soon. I mean I'm no Kerry Cooper but the radar looks bad along with those big black clouds outside.
  4. I thought the crowd was fine for a Bi-District matchup with one local team meeting a Houston area team. Of course PN-G dominated the crowd with it being so close. The Beck is a very deceiving place considering the listed capacity is 5,000 with more room actually available.
  5. Here are the totals Coach Stone told me, Harrington 10 k's 5 hits/ Listi 8 k's 4 hits. Great game PN-G's error in the 3rd came back to haunt them. Great game, I still think we're looking at a 3 game series with the final game being a tossup. To answer the question, with two outs in the 3rd a Huffman runner reached on a throwing error that went into the dugout giving him 2nd automatically. Listi then came up and hit a shallow flare to rf, runner beat the throw just barely at home even though a tag was never attempted.
  6. Just something to think about. Fields being available, coaches were already having problems. With so many teams playing some of the series might get changed to one game series. For PN-G if nothing else is available this weekend tonight could decide their series, not likely but just a worst case scenario.
  7. Maybe he is but I would say Coach Stone at PN-G has a pretty good resume. 2 trips to state with Nederland and 2 with PN-G. ;D
  8. [Hidden Content] sebaseball is usually pretty good, that's the one I keep up with. UTSA is #4 in College Station.
  9. Here are PN-G's results ( 18-10-1, 11-3 ) Non-District Baytown Sterling (L 4-12) Texas City (W 6-0) Clear Brook (L 1-13) Baytown Sterling (W 7-6) Brazoswood (W 12-9) Lake Charles Barbe (L 4-12) Victoria Memorial (L 3-4) Lufkin (W 11-5) West Brook (L 5-6) Barbers Hill (W 2-1) Tyler Lee (T 5-5) Spring Branch Memorial (L 1-6) Lufkin (W 7-0) Lufkin Hudson (W 12-1) Houston Westside (L 0-3) District Ozen (W 10-0) LC-M (W 4-2) Nederland (W 7-3) Lumberton (W 10-1) Vidor (W 7-4) Central (W 2-0) Dayton (W 11-9) Ozen (W 10-6) LC-M (L 4-5) Nederland (L 0-1) Lumberton (W 4-0) Vidor (L 5-6) Central (W 13-3) Dayton (W 3-0)
  10. From the point of being a player in the past visiting Gibbons Field I HATE THAT MUSIC!, lol. We heard it too many time in '98.
  11. No, I'm one too just haven't followed them as much this year. Watched the 3rd period at Hooters tonight, 3 goals ouch!
  12. Liddel is the man for sure. No better striker in the UFC right now.
  13. Should be a good one, have to pull for the Pirates. They've had some scrappy teams that gave us fits now it's coming together. Good luck to both teams I'm about to head out to Dayton.
  14. I know what you're getting at but I haven't seen consistance from any team in this conference. Not saying it's watered down but things are very even this season. The to any tournament is stay in the winners bracket. LU doesn't have the pitching depth to make a run from the loser's side.
  15. I would say PN-G will come out on top. The tribe just couldn't hold on against LC-M. And Nederland, well it's your backyard rival and anything can happen. Helmke pitched a no-hitter without striking out a batter PN-G had something like 11 first pitch outs and the Dogs played great defense that's baseball. Looking at those games it's hard to say they weren't as good as their record if the Indians take care of business the remainder I think Ned has a shot at knocking off LC-M giving PN-G the title. Whatever happens I believe the 3 representatives from this district have a great shot at long runs in Region III.
  16. Just another sad blow. When will our area fans and media learn that unless you support local teams there won't be local teams. I know hockey will never become mainstream but considering this is our team and I'm from here I do whatever I can to support them.
  17. Good job on these. Any ideas on the 5A District for West Brook and Memorial.
  18. Not to mention Gwinnett is just a tough place to play period. Me and Brian Stacey were talking about that last night. It's terrible our guys earn home ice advantage and have to open up on the road due to Disney.
  19. Not sure, I know he coached with the football team this year as well. He was a pretty good ball player for PN-G back in the early 90's.
  20. Considering these things (5-5) in last 10 games 0 Big RPI wins, close a few times the Ok St, KSt, UH, ULL wins would've been big 22 wins with 20 regular season games left. Lamar will most likely need an amazing run such as winning 18 of 20 with wins over Rice and ULL to get back in consideration for an at large. Without that I think the only way in is to win the SLC Tournament which this team can certainly do.
  21. Agree with you totally. Not that I know anything but I would expect the approach to this Rice game will be different. LU needs a good non-conference win. This weekend really did hurt not only in the RPI but their chances to reach the magic number of 40.
  22. Ozen was up 2-0 in the 5th
  23. That's what mid-week games are for. Sure you would like to win them but the 8-1 conference mark is much more important. G has to use a lot of pitchers in these games to get them work because are weekend guys usually go the distance or at least 7 innings. You can walk in the dugout before the games and see a list of what pitchers will be on the mound and how many innings they will throw.
