For those wondering why we haven't heard from Larry, so far that's been his choice. I've called and emailed him. I'm sure every other media outlet has as well. The morning 6 put it out there (I was aware it was going to happen but respected the coach who had not told the players yet) I left him a message. I thought it was only fair that before it was confirmed through the district that I gave him a chance to tell me it was OK to run with it. Nothing but the most utmost respect for LN.

Guess I'm just noticing this, big changes to the 22-5A schedule this year. Teams will play the same district opponent twice in the same week. For example Memorial opens district at home on March 14 against Livingston. They'll then travel to Livingston March 17. The following week they host Lumberton March 21 and travel to Lumberton March 24. What do you think? Could make it tougher to set rotations up.

Barbers Hill looks like a full blown indoor facility. Vidor put turf down in their old gym. East Chambers did the same. When we covered WOS practice in Kennedale last week I gotta admit I was blown away by their indoor facility. What has become the norm in DFW seems like it was unthinkable for high schools not long ago.

That is the USA Today Computer Poll, not the "Expert" Poll. Gives smaller schools like WOS a better shot at being included. Still really cool.
