Flanigan was unaware that Livingston was added until I just messaged him. I'm sure BISD will be getting involved. I would think they would force Central and WB to play week 1.
-
Yes, but they could be assigned to a different district for other sports just like West Brook.
-
No decision has been made for all sports in regards to Livingston. West Brook will be playing in a different district for football than the rest of sports. Keep that in mind.
-
Keep in mind West Brook scheduled Deer Park in week 1, Ozen week 2 and Central week 3. It will be interesting to see what BISD makes WB do.
-
I think you'll see most teams just drop week 3 if possible.
-
With Livingston being added to 22-5A, PNG has officially dropped CE King from their non-district schedule. They were to meet in week 3.
-
The domino effect is going to be crazy. Coaches have been messaging me today wanting to know the news as soon as it became official. Plenty of calls are being made now I'm sure.

I would, but it wouldn't let me edit lol. -
Harmony Science is not part of today's appeal. They've elected not to be part of a UIL district at this time. Here's a statement from their AD. "Due to a miscommunication during the UIL re-alignment process, we were placed into a district that doesn't match our student athlete's needs. While we are saddened at the loss of conference play, we are grateful to the UIL and the other district 22-4A schools for allowing us to withdraw until the re-alignment process begins again."

Llano denied

Medina Valley denied move to 29-5A.

Alice and Calallen just were approved to move to 30-5A. It's now an 11-team district! Plans are to have zones.

Tims had 12 tackles in the state championship, 3 for loss and won the defensive MVP. Those stats weren't kept by WOS. I use plenty of factors when voting, and don't just get caught up on stats. Every coach uses players in different ways. Some rest players when building a lead, others don't have that option and need every single point to win. Dallas led his team to a 15-1 record, going 13-1 against playoff teams. Including Silsbee. Opponents combined records, 120-81. Thomas led his team to an 11-3 record, going 6-3 against playoff teams. Opponents combined records, 84-80. This just one thing I looked at to go along with watching both. Another thing I ask is who would I want to lead me in the final drive of the game. Dallas is the most precise passer I've seen in a long time. He doesn't need huge numbers, he manages the game. When the ballot first came out I was going with Thomas. But then I started digging more and more, and comparing. Just my choice. Zero bias. I enjoy working around all of these young men.
