Yeah I did the story on it the day before KFDM. Comeaux is the one that went through all the records to create the new banners so it's not 40 straight years despite it being reported it that way.

Also Vidor was black and metallic gold as early as the mid-60's when my parents attended TJ. I've never heard of Vidor being maroon and gold. Then again UT wore yellow and white then maroon and gold at times before adopting orange (later burnt orange) and white so not saying it's impossible.

Nederland wore Pittsburgh Steelers style uniforms with an NB on black helmets. You can call it gold just like the Steelers do but it is actually yellow or also known as athletic gold. Metallic gold is what they wear now. I'm very aware of the history lol. Plus I have footage of those old uniforms on my desk.

Growing up Nederland was black and yellow and Vidor wore black and gold. So who are the real uniform thieves?? lol

Defending New Orleans Bowl champs and picked third in the Sun Belt this year. Going to be a very rowdy crowd.

I was just happy it wasn't sloppy. When I was there Kirbyville scored on HF in the final seconds of the 12 minutes. Looked like they would score the first time but the drive fizzled and a pass was nearly picked in the endzone on 3rd and goal. Deweyville on offense had that one big play for the score against Kirbyville. Just before I left the HF #2 offense moved the ball with no problem against Deweyville. Long pass with a nice snag in front of me then a QB keeper for a score in the 10 minute segment. Had to head out after that.

The BH was taken off for only one year with their throwbacks. Last year it returned on a white helmet.

2000 AND 2001 LIBERTY Just like Permian but in gold. Old Purdue P, no outline, gold helmet, single black stripe, black mask. Also going through video Huffman in 2000 was a red helmet, white mask and a strange falcon head I think Matt would need to have on hand to make.
