  2. And wow that Lone Star site has a ton of mistakes. Great idea but I would never use it as a source.
  3. Pretty fun thing to play with. '11 PN-G 74  '11 Hull-Daisetta 7 The 2011 Hull-Daisetta Bobcats were no match for the 2011 Port Neches-Groves Indians' steamrolling performance. This was definately a mismatch. The losing team's fans were not pleased by this selected matchup. A couple of their fans were found waiting outsite the stadium gates to have a little talk with the one responsible for this game. It may take the 2011 Hull-Daisetta Bobcats (and thier fans) a while to recover. LOL couldn't resist. At least I didn't simulate it at the Rez. And yes I know there's a huge difference in the size of schools.
  4. OK I'll change it to Gulf Coast. The site never updated so I was taking a shot. It was only listed as Golden Triangle in the bracket.
  5. Preseason rankings are just fun to talk about but pretty meaningless. Teams that have a history of runs or a ton of talent returning get ranked. I was happy to see Vidor win their first playoff games since 64 but for the most part their program isn't known. Plus they were swept by the Mid-County schools last year. The only ranking that matters is the one at the end of the season.
  6. I only see Joe once a year at our fantasy football draft. Considering he just figured out facebook instant messaging I don't expect him to be getting on message boards lol. He is one of the funniest people I've ever met.
  7. I wish my old buddy Joe Lee Smith would get on this but computers aren't his thing lol.

  10. Too much weight. Major TV markets in Texas are owned by the big boys. Houston (A&M/UT), San Antonio (UT), Dallas (UT/TCU/A&M.....SMU) not SLC schools. Market number is a nice number for mid-major conferences to boast about but it doesn't matter if those markets don't cover you.
  11. Yes I would like Lamar to move on but that doesn't look like it will happen in the next year. Oral Roberts is a great addition and will be a force in basketball, women's basketball and baseball. Their men went to top 10 Xavier last season and put it on them and have one something like 16 straight baseball titles (weak conference but still). I get the sarcastic saying about market though. People keep talking about markets but that has more to do with large conferences not the Southland. I don't think some people get that. SLC schools like UTA and UTSA got very little coverage in big markets. UTSA is getting more now only due to football being added.
  12. Please don't mention UMKC. I've been to a Roos game in the Rec Center on campus they play in now. High school games get bigger crowds and it's quiet as can be. I had the most UMKC gear on and I was just there to watch a friend play.
  13. Received a message from the webmaster of the site. He has a new computer with all the information on a new hard drive. So far he's made about 200 helmets in the past two days. Site should be up in a couple weeks.
