  1. What teams would you put ahead of Bridge City at this time? It feels like you have some beef with BC for some reason lol. Buna is sitting with 7 losses. 5A PNG has 2 losses to 3A competition. Bridge City is in the very early stages of their schedule with one loss. So I'm really not understanding why a team with one loss in four sets (one being 29-27) is all of sudden not worthy of a top 5 rating for our corner of the state. Bridge City will face PNG in the Dayton Tournament, so we'll get a look at two of our local teams. Next week BC travels to Orlando, Florida for the KSA Tournament.
  2. We’ll see. BC plays Orangefield then travels to the Dayton Tournament this week. Two of us vote on this and we feel they do belong.
  3. PNG is 12-3, but two of those losses came to 3A Buna over the weekend.
  4. Bridge City has only played four games. More will be known about them after this week.
  5. 5A Baytown Sterling went 28-8 last season and two rounds deep in the playoffs. They're no slouch.
  6. Thanks! I was just going off what I was told.
  7. The West Fork Gators are competing at the varsity level in 20-4A for all sports besides football. Saw their volleyball team yesterday in the Tarkington Tournament.
  8. I was told Buna looked good and outscored Lumberton.
  9. Livingston 20 HJ 7 Teams played 4 quarters, but kept the clock running most of the time.
  10. Livingston at HJ, Thursday (9th/JV at 6 pm, Varsity 7 pm)
  11. Controlled: Tarkington 1 TD HJ 0 Live: HJ 3 TD’s Tarkington 0
  12. Thanks everyone! Looking forward to the next chapter and spending more time with my family, I'll still be around a posting things on sports independently for fun. No deadlines lol. I'm just a Has Been now!
  13. It was the wort season opening loss for PNG. 2022 Port Arthur Memorial 50-15 (35 pts) 1926 Orange 41-7 (34 pts) 1955 Nederland 34-6 (28 pts) Worst losses on the books all-time for PNG 1944 Port Arthur 89-0 1987 Aldine MacArthur 75-0 I thought they lost that MacArthur game on the road though. The previous meeting in 1986 was 28-7.
  14. Cards can list birthplace and hometown. Clay Buchholz had birthplace as Nederland and hometown as Lumberton. The card of Roschon I’ve seen says hometown Port Neches, but NFL lists birthplace as Port Arthur.
  15. This is from what I’ve been told by coaches in the district. 3 way tiebreaker is head to head first of the 3 involved. If GCM, Nederland and PNG all end up 8-6 then head to head of the three is GCM 3-1 (3rd) PNG 2-2 (4th) NED 1-3 (5th-out) If all 3 had split then there would be a mini tournament.
  16. 24/7 has Miller ranked #61 overall currently. He reached an all-time high of #57 on February 27. He dropped .0004 on his overall ranking March 21. This came after he went up .0013.
  17. 24/7 has Miller with 43 offers. [Hidden Content] He’s thinking he’ll commit in August
  18. Girls varsity game didn't get started until almost 7:30. Boys were playing after.
