WAC wasn't a good option for Lamar. There was plenty of noise about the conference falling apart. With Sun Belt teams leaving for CUSA it could open the door for Lamar. Not saying it will but it might.

Just as I expected after talking to the UTA guys during the basketball tournament the WAC is in bad shape. So after announcing a move to the WAC on July 1st the Roadrunners have left the Mavs behind and are all set for CUSA in 2013. Move is pending an expected approval from the UT System Board of Regents. Story is out in the Chron and SA Express now. Sources also reporting that North Texas, FIU and Louisiana Tech could be the next schools joining CUSA. The agenda for Tuesday indicates three WAC schools have declared their intent to lead (presumably UTSA, La Tech and Utah State) leaving four football-play members. 8 is required by the NCAA to remain FBS. Runners will pay 2 million to join CUSA....... RIP WAC

PN-G last missed out on the playoffs in 1996 when we were in 5A. Tied for 3rd that year with Baytown Lee but lost head to head tiebreaker.

The 6 PN-G runs in the 5th came without the ball leaving the infield. Parents are getting fiesty lol. Indians bunting the ball a lot in the 5th Vidor lady yells they can't hit you so they have to play small ball. PN-G lady chirps back well when you can stop small ball we'll go back to hitting. Classic. Some of the things I hear when I'm shooting wow.

Strange. I know in playoff games they pick up from where they left off. In 21-3A they're picking up as well tomorrow. 20-4A has some crazy rules.

Usually the winter before softball season. They've been doing a lot of work on their temporary homefield at Ford Park lately.

Well that's the way the most conferences are. If you choose to leave you're not welcome back. Now if they get rid of you they can welcome you back....aka Temple Big East. It's all about power.

While at the SLC Basketball tournament the guys from UTA said they were very concerned about what's going on in the WAC. A lot of talk that the WAC will dissolve. The SLC said they won't take any of the Texas schools bolting for the WAC back. In the end the Mavs could be part of the Great West!!!! All this conference shake up is a headache. At this point Sun Belt would be a better route if Lamar ever leaves the SLC.
