  1. Haha, yes you are and I'll vouch for that!! ;D I saw Yates on the highlight show Saturday morning . . . man, they look tough!
  2. Great post WarPaint!! All three teams are very capable of going deep in the playoffs. I will be backing all of you as you begin the second season. Best of luck to each of you!!
  3. Nice display of area support.
  4. True pigskinmom, we do have some skill positions returning next year, but we dang sure need to shore up our defense! Best of luck to the Raiders next week & beyond. You guys have a great team and unmatched community support!
  5. I repeat . . . Mid County is alive & well! Scalp 'em Indians, Scalp 'Em!!
  6. Yes, Nederland came up short, but the better team won in Lumberton tonight, as it should be. I am sure that many Ned folks will be supporting Lumberton (& all area teams in the coming weeks). I know for sure that I will. And honestly, I don't know who in Pt. Neches or Groves is sad, they are celebrating a co-district championship and getting ready for their 1st round opponent. Mid County is still alive & well! ;D Go Indians . . . Scalp' Em!!
  7. I'll second that! The three most deserving teams will represent 22-4A in the coming weeks, and that is how it should be. Best of luck to each of you in your respective games. I will be supporting & backing each of you!
  8. A huge congrats to the Raiders on making history!! The playoffs are a blast and I am glad that your community will get to experience that, hopefully for 5 or 6 weeks! Without a doubt, the better team won tonight, hands down. I also thought the spirit & fan support I saw in L-town tonight was second to none in the district. You guys are pumped and you should be - the Raiders look dang good this year! I'll be backing you & all of 22-4A in the coming weeks. Best of luck in the playoffs!! BTW, I thought their announcer was great! I enjoyed his enthusiasm.
  9. I have to agree with maverick here. History will have no bearing on Friday's outcome. It does not matter that Ned has playoff experience; it does not matter that Ned has beat Lumberton more in the past; Ned's past players & accomplishments mean nothing come 7:00 Friday night. The only things that matter are 1) the effectivenes of the gameplan the coaches have installed, 2) how the players execute that gameplan, and 3) how players & coaches adjust to all the contingencies & challenges that always show up on Friday night. I know I stated the obvious, but the fact remains, Nederland's history will not give them an edge Friday night. That is entirely up to the players & coaches.
  10. Maybe he's talking about Chirs Gutierrez??
  11. Michigan @ Wisconsin Alabama @ Mississippi State Arkansas @ Tennessee Florida @ South Carolina Auburn @ Georgia Florida State @ Virginia Tech Texas Tech @ Texas Kansas @ Oklahoma State Southern Cal @ California North Carolina @ North Carolina State
  12. Congrats Indians, that's awesome!!
  13. LOL, your coaches will see the film.
  14. Check your facts, my friend. Although both Ned & PNG fans stated that the refs were less than par in that game, both sides also stated that fortunately, the officiating had absolutely no bearing on the outcome of the game, that PNG is the better team, and they deserved nothing less than a W on that night. Again, I stand by my statement that Ned fans have been nothing less than gracious to their opponents this season. You are trying to create something that just does not exist this year.
  15. I had no idea! Happy Birthday Coop!!
  16. You're spittin' in the wind maverick. After both of Ned's losses this season, Bulldog fans have had nothing but congratulations & well wishes for the remainder of the season for both PNG & Dayton. No "excuses" were made for either loss or bad performance on our part. You are just trying to create something that simply is not there. Sorry about that, buddy.
  17. You are right, last night it would not have made any difference at all. However in close games, sometimes fan noise & support can make a difference. If that happens to be the case this week, Bulldog fans need to respond.
  18. What!??! A vote for airhorns?? Are my ears (eyes) deceiving me?
  19. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think Co-Champs will be the official designation. A few years ago the same thing happened between PNG & Ned, and that year "Co-Champs" was the title, if I am not mistaken. Now if each district were only sending one team to the post-season, then yes, the head-to-head winner would go, but in this day & age of multiple teams going to the playoffs, Co-Champs is the title given to teams with identical district records.
  20. No chance of that. With PNG guaranteed a playoff spot, they will be the Div. I (Big School) rep.
  21. Congrats to the Indians, Broncos, & all the area teams that have clinched the right to extend their respective seasons. Great job guys!!
  22. I agree. The Bronco fans are a class act.
  23. Ummmm, do you need glasses? Ned fans are all over this thread admitting defeat to a far superior team & congratulating Dayton on the win. I don't really understand your post. ???
  24. Based on what Penny posted, if Dayton beats PNG, Ned has to get a Win Lumberton. If PNG wins, then Ned needs to beat LUM by 10 or more.
