  1. That is sad to hear. Thoughts & prayers from Nederland.
  2. LOL!! That conjures up some funny images!!
  3. I agree with bulldawg64, one game at a time. This week, the main focus should be on repetitions & improving execution. Next week, focusing on how to stop Vidor. November will get here soon enough. There are a lot of games to be played between now & then.
  4. LOL, that looked more like a take-down!!
  5. That's an interesting statistic - giving up 310 yds. rushing. Hmmm, what other local team recently gave up similar yardage on the ground but less than half as many points?
  6. It has been a rough start, but hopefully the Lady Cards can notch their first historic win at home this Sunday. [move][glow=red,2,300]GO LADY CARDS!![/glow][/move]
  7. Awesome picture!!
  8. Ahh yes, you are speaking of those years when a successful season at Ned was 4-6, or 5-5. Much has changed since then. I'm not saying that Ned would win a majority, or even a handfull of games against WB, but I don't think we would go 0-20 against them.
  9. OMG, that is awful. Thoughts & prayers from Nederland for a quick & full recovery.
  10. Based on news I heard at the time of the surgery, his boot was supposed to come off today so that rehab can begin. I am no doctor, but I would expect at least a 4 week rehab period, probably longer.
  11. I'll take those odds. Don't forget, Ned won their 2004 game against WB, 14-13.
  12. You are so right there, Soulja. IMO, that goes for any team against any district opponent this year. We have always said this district is tough, but I think 2007 has more parity than in years past. This race is gonna be wide open!

  14. Yeah, they did. I am still having flashback of Forest Brook, though.
  15. I think Nederland is a little ahead of where I thought they'd be at this point in the season, both with and without our starting QB. The defense is obviously the strongest phase for us right now. Those guys are doing great and will only improve as the season progresses. The passing game is good right now, but not where it needs to be to get us through district. The good news here is that it will only get better with more practice and more reps and I think fans will see a marked improvement in two weeks when we begin district play. Our running game is a little behind what I thought it would be three games into the season. We have three good back in Breaux, Bass, & Roy, so I know it is only a matter of time till one or more of them starts to make some noise. It seems special teams has not been a stong point at Nederland since Curtis Parks graduated, so I see this area as another that needs to focus on getting better to help us get through this monster district.

  17. I guess that puts me at 23-6.
  18. Congrats to the Kelly Bulldogs!
  19. I went 21-6. (Forrest Brook outcome still unknown)
  20. No doubt. They are still THE team to beat in Texas.
  21. I saw HI on the news the other day. It is good to see that your spirits are still up, despite all the destruction. Thoughts & prayers for a quick recovery from Nederland. Where are y'all talking about playing the remainder of the home football games?
  22. Dang, there goes all the national attention. Time to run the table, Dragons.
