  1. That is great to hear. Here's to a speedy & full recovery.
  2. Hemmings was a huge bright spot for PNG Friday night. He will keep the Indians in a lot of games this season.
  3. I think by the time Week 9 or 10 is here, we will see either Central or Dayton vying for the top spot. They are still far & away, the two teams to beat in this district. It is way too early to tell which one has the inside track.
  4. Back on topic. It is great to see the locals doing so well at the next level. I hope to see them accomplish all that they hope to this season.
  5. Congrats to the Jags on the big win!
  6. I saw that Souja! Good call.
  7. Ya know, it almost seemed sincere . . . till I got to the last line with the triple super-smilies. :
  8. Cool!! Congrats to him! And thanks for the clarification.
  9. So, for those of us who can't tune in to ESPN right now . . . who just pitched a no-hitter?
  10. Ummmm, that was a Bridge City Cardinal fan that started this thread, not a Ned fan. No one from Nederland is talking about anything more than a good win last night (no, not the superbowl, just a good win against a quality opponent), and the severity of Sampere's injury.
  11. The difference is, with all of those teams, there was somewhat of a QB controversy in Nederland. Everyone knew we had two starting caliber QB's on the roster & Neumann just had to make a choice. I am not knocking the back-ups because quite frankly, I don't know anything about them. All I am saying is that for the 2007 season, Sampere was the man at QB and as far as I know, there was not a highly touted back-up waiting in the wings. For the record, I hope that we do have a diamond in the rough just waiting for his chance in the spotlight.
  12. I thought PNG did a great job containing LM last night. I mean really, except for the scrub TD with 0:35 left in the game, the Indians held LM scoreless for 3 quarters! And as far as the comments about the game being over by halftime, well I personally did not see any LM fans leaving their seats till about a minute left in the game! Despite the lack of offense, I thought PNG held their own against LM and have nothing to be ashamed of. Once your offense starts clicking, you will definately be a force!!
  13. I have to respectfully disagree. Not many fans gave Ned a realistic chance to beat Brenham, with or without Sampere. This was definately an upset.
  14. My thoughts & prayers are with the Cooper family during this sorrowful time.
  15. Glad you will be there bcjag. Be sure to wear your Central colors. It is cool to when fans from around the district support each other.
  16. If you are talking about total attendance for both games, then yes, I'd say 20,000+.
  17. Great post! ;D
  18. That is a great resource for the fans who won't be able to make the trip. Way to go guys!!
  19. Win or lose, I'll still be there backing the Indians!
  20. Very cool! The more football, the better!! ;D
  21. Monte Barrow, Brian Spell, Cody Robbins, . . . any others?
  22. Of the 6 finalists, my favorite name presented was Sam Houston High.
  23. Tatum was brought up during the middle of the season . . . I'm not sure exactly what week it was. Edit: I just read where Tatum was brought up for the first district game vs. Ozen.
