Coach has called Legacy AD and HC w/no response.

High Island can not play this Friday's game with Deweyville. So we are looking for anyone who might be able to play this week.

In 1978 my high school, Parkersburg High (WV), beat Oak Glen High 75-0. That team went on to win a State Championship. I was a ballboy for that team.

Deweyville enrollment is right at 200.

This coach would've spontaniously combusted with the bad calls I've seen this year! You don't pull your team off the field!

I never thought Bevil should've even been in the discussion at QB this year. He had way too many turnovers last year at QB. I felt going into this season the competition should've been between Prewitt and JJ. Maybe Prewitt regressed during the spring and fall drills. I know he was  hurt the last two weeks leading up to the opener, and maybe that's why he was relegated to 3rd string. Like it or not JJ will be the starter by mid-season. You don't get a guy to transfer from a FBS school to be a back-up QB.

I like Prewitt, but eventually JJ is going to have to take over them. I think South Alabama wins this game 20-17. Lamar is better than last year, but come up just short. South Alabama's win streak ends next week at NC State.

The Foremans are just tremendous people and my heart and prayers go out to them.

Apparently head to head means nothing to the pollsters on here. West Sabine gave up  77 points to Hemphill and West Sabine gets more votes more than Hemphill. Really? Why is a team that gives up 77 points even getting votes?

I guess if you play for a school below 3A you're ineligable for player of the week. Ryan Collins at Deweyvill had 21 rushes for 153 yards and 2 TDs and not even nominated. The Twine kid from Hemphill  had an unofficial [b]533 yards and 6 TDs [/b] and not even nominated. Just make it a 3A or above award!

I don't know where you guys are hearing the high school enrollment is 190, it's higher than that. We're going come in around 200. If the UIL doean't change the number for 1A, we will be 2A next year. It will come down to how many schools will be each division when each classificaton is split.

That coach should be banned from ever stepping on a football field again. When I was a referee in the Beaumont Chapter that league would not have been able to get anymore refs from chapter, either. I agree with one of the other guys on here, that the kid should be done till he gets to high school. As a teacher/coach I have seen the younger generation's respect for adults, or anything for that matter, take a steady decline from year to year. These kids have no fear of reprocusions from anybody. If people like these coaches are mentoring our kids before they get to Jr. High or High School it's no wonder they have no respect for anything.

190 is a little low for the high school. The last 2 or 3 realignments the UIL has not changed the 1A munber fron 199. So any number you are hearing the UIL will have as a cutoff for 1A and 2A, we've been hearing for the past couple of realignments. I hope we do go 1A.

If you give up more than 60 points in a game, you should not be int he top 25. Check the lowerr classifications for that.

I hope Deweyville gets love this week. Puttin' up 55 pts and 407 yards on the ground last week. Worth lookin' at.

We'll find out about WOS, Giddings mathup in game 5. Soulja, The last time Central played Dayton was the missed extra point game. Dayton moved out of the distric the next year and the Jags haven't played them since.

Uconn was also 21-9 against teams in the top 100, while LSU baseball was 18-18 against top 100  opponents and  uconn  also won there conference tournment too!!!!!! and there was also a 3 way tied for 9th and there are 16 teams in the basketball conference, you can't even compare Uconn basketball and LSU baseball, LSU did not make the Conference tourn dude get real!!!!!!! if you can't make that then how in the heck should you make the ncaa tourney!!!

Scalpem, give it up man, they couldn't even make the conference tourney!!!!!!!! The other teams did 2 games better in conf play and got it done and did what they needed to do, if you cant make your own conf tourney u don't deserve to go to the NCAA tourney!!!!

Just throwing this out there. It may not mean anything, but if they wanted to give the job to Cornell or Toby, they could give it to either one and not even have to post the job. When you promote from within you don't have to post the opening. Just something to think about.
