If that happens it’ll be game over before the bands perform, better get my Frito pie early. Dayton must start well and stay in the game early or nightmare of last year will begin to replay. Could happen—— we’ll see. Love that grease, cheese, and Fritos, hey don’t judge it’s my cheat day.

Excellent, I looked at a coaching list and didn’t see his name. He’s a great young coach, good pedigree from WOS. Gets the most out of his kids. I coached with him years ago and lost his cell. Am definitely pulling for United to get in playoffs. But still, don’t take Laporte lightly. And to the person talking up deer park, have you seen their record in predistrict, opponents, and box score??😳

And I don’t like whiny puppies, easy to speak in generalities. I like broccoli. Jill Ireland is beautiful.

Don’t put words in my mouth, “ la Porte should not be taken lightly” is what I wrote. Where did you get North Shore from that 🤔 About 3 weeks ago I predicted Laporte for 4th place due to new coaches, attitude and practice schedule. I coached there my last year so I know the type of kids there. The new coach is a defensive coach. They are 1-2 but played tough in both losses, getting better each week. I like those kids like I’ve liked kids at all five places I’ve coached, so I let my heart speak in front of my brain, but I’m okay with it, go dogs. I also predicted Katy to beat north shore game 1. I was correct. After watching the game I predicted north shore to have rematch with Katy in regions semi or final and the shore will win as regional BEST football team. The only team that may beat the shore in this region are the Texans if the o line pass protects well or the Houston cougars—- no scratch that only the Texans. Now please don’t misquote me by interpreting New England Patriots when I said Texans. I could put this in Ukrainian if needed, only know a little Spanish. Have a good day, and I am excited about United success. Hopefully the flood doesn’t affect their roll. Would love to see Shore, wbrook, Laporte and United in playoffs. Question, is Andre bevil no longer coaching there?

I may be wrong, according to my wife I’m always wrong, but la Porte should not be taken lightly———remember what coach bear said.

The big key to the game is the psyche of the broncos. Teenagers are influenced by peers and recent events. When you’ve coached 33 years , we’ve all had regretful years like Dayton s 0-10 last year, still fresh in their mind and predistrict hasn’t helped. If the coaching staff are hammering the players, there confidence will be shot and it won’t even be close. Believe me being part of Two 1-9 seasons, the players HATE being in school cause fellow students are relentless and heartless. Mental abuse is happening to ALL associated with football, someone call CPS. And if the coaching staff is not playing counselor, life is miserable and there will be no focus on prepping for the game. Like DiMaggio said,” baseball (all sports) is 90% mental and 20% physical.” It the Hill starts strong, the self fulfilling prophecy that diseased a talented bronco team last year will rear it’s ugly head and the hill will destroy them 35-7. But if the coaching staff counsels well and the kids don’t listen to the students and community AND they double cover hills stud receiver, it will be a loss still, but respectable hill 28-14. Bronco staff has players on couches if they want what is best. The Hill is finding itself offensively and has big, I mean big, BIG potential. The hill could contend with PNG , Lee, Crosby for the trophy. I think this is my game of choice Friday. Does the Hill sell old school Fritos pie, cut bag, grease, melted cheese and onions? Had one last Friday in Marlin at my 40th high school reunion, good just like it was in the 60’s. Marlin is in a time warp except for football victories, lost to Italy by 2, oh well pre district records are for losers. GoDogs.

West Orange Stark vs Crosby - GAME CANCELLED

Looking at the movement now I believe Friday night will be mostly clear and with WOS having tire piece fields great field conditions. I’m not a weatherman, just took a meteorology course at Southwest Texas state as part of my Biology degree. Definitely don’t have the looks for tv weather, maybe radio. -
West Orange Stark vs Crosby - GAME CANCELLED

Great game on the horizon, was hoping to make it as I think this game could be as entertaining as the one in Manvel. I’m on a goal of seeing as many great area games as possible until I get back into coaching, but with great tickets to Aggie vs war eagle high school is gonna take a back seat. First, I agree with 14.2 , and believe Crosby could have beaten Manvel with a couple of breaks. I’ve coached and am friends with Manvel coaches and AD. And before the game they were quite convinced that this years Manvel team was their best in several years, good enough to beat Marshal for district. After that I believed Crosby was gonna get their fundio handed to them. I’m not a cougar homer though I coached there for 10 years, but I didn’t want them embarrassed. From what I saw, the new coach is doing very well. They are not the old cocky Crosby team, which I love. Nor are they the team that has to run EVERY pass play on the head coaches card. No reason to get teams pissed at you beforehand. They are more old school. And if the new quarterback plays, move in from GCM and is solid, their offense could really improve. Early in the year I picked Crosby 0-3 to start the season but still making the playoffs. Now seeing district results and the possibility of a good quarterback to go along with the running back, I say Crosby by 7. I have the utmost respect for WOS football and think they could go 3-4 rounds. It will be tough at WOS but they’ll letdown a little, human nature because of Newton game. WOS has tradition and determined coaches and kids ( I coached with Andre Bevil who demonstrated their drive) but Crosby in an upset. -
Biggest game for Dayton in the past two years. A win can send them to district with momentum. A loss could bring on the doubt that led to ten losses. Go Broncos.

Sounds like about 8 of the ten debate candidates from last night. Did he go to TSU after the Silsbee jv game? Has he written about free Medicare for all?
-
Should be Porter, but maybe last week caused a change?
-
I heard that there is a quarterback who will gain eligibility in a week? Is this true? If so, then the quarterback, who can run the ball, will go to running back. That would make the offense very lethal. Speaking with Manvel coaches, they feel they can beat Marshal for district.

Yes, 2nd to 4th, too much on this young team to say first, especially in our version of SEC West high school. Again injuries can happen, unforeseen things, but I saw a lot in the cougars in a loss. I think they’ll be a playoff team. I just hope the few, I mean few , fans that are at games don’t leave the boat after non district. I don’t think they’ll beat WOS in orange, but they may still improve, they NEED to improve. Right now coaching wise it is a psychological game, keeping their heads in it and working hard to get into the state playoffs. It is a long season.

Saw the cougars tonight and was impressed. This team is physical and plays with enthusiasm and never quit. Offensively the rb playing qb got bettter throughout the game. He’ll be a lot better come district. If the qb and receivers continue to clean up mistakes Crosby will be in the playoffs. The key is to listen to the new coaching staff and put out maximum effort. We forget the opponent often and compare Crosby teams to the one great year to the semifinals. Manvel is very good, very good. I predict they’ll beat Marshall for district. I also predict , predicted earlier this year, Crosby will begin 0-3 but with good player and coaching leadership the coogs will be 2-4 in district.

Last year Lee got so much better throughout the season. Excellent job of aligning some excellent skill players and maximizing potential, but also of coaching up lesser quality kids to fill out not the team, but about 13 other positions. Really excellent job of coaching up to this point, have their team blasting with CONFIDENCE, a big factor especially with the barbaric district schedule coming. Lee could actually win the district or not make the playoffs based on the parity. Great job Ganders.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football 6A Team of the Week
coach bear posted a topic in High School Football
Congratulations to Beaumont United for week 0 team of the week in 6A selected by the Bible of Texas high school football. -
I know it would be scary, but I would be so excited.

Jordan Whittington, Cuero ex and state championship star, is now out 4-6 weeks with torn adductor in groin. Herman said he is going to Philadelphia for the expert surgeon on these injuries. Supposedly had this before. So now Roschon is definitely 2nd and will get playing time under the lights of the Nation. BIG SPOTLIGHT-Hook em.

Picking Nederland by 3 in a great game. I think United is so close to turning it. If they can get a win this week, I believe they’ll get 4th in district. But I did go to Laporte this morning and visited with coaches and some players. There attitude is fantastic with the new coaching regime. Laporte May be a team to look out for. I’ll be going to the game, excited expecting another north shore Katy type like I experienced last Thursday. Come say hi, I’ll be on home side away from band in a green Aggie T-shirt and longhorn hat. Gig em and hook em.
