1. SETX guys blew this call. Cleveland vs. Coldspring is a better game everyday of the week and twice on Sundays than Orangefield vs. Bridge City. This is a district championship tilt against two 7-1, 4-0 teams. This reeks of a golden triangle prejudice.
2. As predicted both teams are undefeated in district play. It's time for the game of the year!
3. The 3A #4 and #5 battle will be settled in the playoffs very soon. #5 will roll #4. ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!!
I just love that you are sportin my college attended logo. Love those Miners! Cool...are you originally from El Paso?  YHS Class of '77 here..."Once an Indian, Always an Indian"

No. Born and raised in Cleveland, TX. Went there to play golf for the Miners in the early 90's. Had a great time but haven't been been back for awhile now. Still follow the programs as a fan though.

6. If Carthage can play half as good as they did last year in the playoff game I saw, then they win this game. In the big school 3A division of the playoffs it won't matter because the big "G" will probably be to much for anybody.
7. Could somebody please call that Shepherd school board member so he can cut the cord on this thread. Enough already!
8. There is a team that is better than anyone expected, and it is Liberty. Their defense will be the difference in this one. They will score on Shepherd enough to win and their defense will seal the game. Don't usually put a score up, but I will say Liberty 27-Shepherd 20.
9. Jnunn, all those stats look good on paper and heck of a job on the research. To bad it will not amount to a single point on Friday night Oct. 30th. This game will not be decided by one person. I think that gives a slight advantage to Cleveland. The best thing that Colsprings' off. line can do is get out of the way of that speed. The strength of that team is speed. If Clevelands' defense keeps that speed in front of them it will be a long night for the Trojans. I don't think the Trojans can beat you 3 and 4 yards at a time. They make their living on the big plays. Clevelands' ball control offense will serve them well in keeping the Trojan offense on the sidelines. Man, I can't wait for this game!
10. That's a good idea. I think I will go hang in the PNG posts and make some uneducated comments on the state of their program. I am sure I could surf the net and find some info on their team from 8 years ago and make it seem valid. You want to comment on what you read, fine, you want to comment on what you have seen, fine, but when it comes to telling everyone how it will be for Cleveland, step away from the mic.
11. We should have had homecoming at your field because we ruled it like it was our house. You said a mouth full there Indian15! Yall rolled in sucked up our electricty was the example of a rude house guest and won the prize of beating someone half your size!! Now you can move on to Tarkington and keep telling your self your doing something!! Enjoy your playoffs too! You will be back in no time! Roll on Indians! LMAO It stinks when your bubble gets busted. You guys could have took your props for an amazing turnaround from last year, instead you had to go and push the envelope and try to make a statement from the bottom of the food chain. All you do in sports is line up and beat the team placed in front of you by the powers that be. Don't act like Cleveland is some bully looking for the smallest kid to pick on. It is what it is, no apologies necessary. It is making a mountain out of a mole hill.
12. First, the Scott kid never left Coldsprings. Lets just say he had personal reasons with a young lady that prevented him from leaving. As for Cleveland, Mallet has given verbal commitment to TCU, Reed is getting letters from most of the top schools in the country, and the Ross twins are now on the radar of some of the state schools in Texas. That is what I know for now.
13. We should have had homecoming at your field because we ruled it like it was our house.
14. RammerJammer, I am awaiting your analysis with great anticipation.
15. I know it is two weeks away, but this game will probably require two weeks worth of analysis, predictions, and trash talk. The microphone is on, so let's hear it. No disrespect to Tarkington or Splendora but both the C's should enter this game undefeated in district play.
16. I will start by saying congrats on taking "the bell". I want coach Carpenter to be successful. Since that is the case I will keep the trash talk to minimum. There is not a lot to say except, Cleveland can win by any margin they see fit. Coach Tullos will show more respect than Jones(Shepherd HC) did in his 57-0 victory. I want everyone to stay healthy on both teams through this contest. Battle of the C's (Cleveland v Coldspring) is the following week.
17. Enough about the horn already. Lets focus on what happened inside the chalk lines. Well there is not much to talk about there either. Cleveland rolled into town and blew out something besides a horn, the Shepherd Pirates! The game actually had less drama than I thought it would. I said that coach Jones should keep his boy in a bubble and the dude did. I don't think I have every seen a coach play a ref like a puppet like that man can. That line judge had to replace his flag at halftime due to overuse. Guess what, didn't matter. Can't wait to see what off the field antics Shepherd will be able to claim scoreboard on next week because, they can't claim any on the field.
18. CLEVELAND VS. SHEPHERD 10/15/09 7TH GRADE CLEV. 22 SHEP. 0 8TH GRADED CLEV. 40 SHEP. 0
19. I doubt that. Honestly Only quoting one of the Shepherd coaches if you must know. Then he should quit coaching then. sounds like he dose'nt know how too coach. Easy paycheck guy lol I think he was calling a spade a spade. These boys from Cleveland are beasts. Vince Lombardi would have said the same thing.
20. It's hard to feel inspired for trash talk when you feel like you have already watched the game and know the outcome. How can Shepherd make a game of this and possibly win, well, they can't. The "Tribe Tractor Trailer" is running down hill now and that is bad news for all in it's way. Shepherd simply can't stop this offense and Coach Jones might want to keep his boy in a bubble against this Indian defense. One false move and their whole season could go down the drain. My suggestion to the Pirate's staff is to start watching film on Huffman because your season hangs in the balance on that night. This game will be very similar to the Coldspring game with Cleveland's defense being alittle more stingy. Long way of saying "Cleveland in a rout!"ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!!
21. I doubt that. Honestly Only quoting one of the Shepherd coaches if you must know.
22. There is really not a whole lot to talk about here. Cleveland's 8th grade could have played Shepherd's 9th grade or maybe JV and won this game. It was absolute domination from start to finish. Sheherd did not record a first down until midway through the 4th qtr. Cleveland scored on it's first two plays from scrimage and the rest was history. Final: Cleveland 42- Shepherd 0. One more tune up next week and then it is battle of the C's.
23. The Indian machine is starting to find it's rhythm. The defense looked great last night. Huffman's td's came late in the 4th qtr. against reserves. The offense, 425 total yards in the mud, enough said. It is worth mentioning however, the Indians had another passing TD, their third in two weeks. I feel my optimism on the rise as the Indian defense begins to find it's stride. Hate to look ahead but the Battle Of The C's will be epic in three weeks. SETX might want to look at broadcasting that one over the airwaves.
24. Big win for the Pirates. This makes them a threat to make the playoffs. The game stayed close like I thought it would but the Pirates prevailed and I picked Splendora. My bad. I realize three things from this outcome: 1. Shepherd vs. Huffman will be a huge game, 2. Liberty is not out of the playoff chase, 3. Splendora has fallen a long way down. I can't wait to see the Pirates take on our Indians. ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!!
25. yes #9 Kevonte Shaw is out. Broken Femur, out for rest of year all the up to track. Should help splendora out alot. Kevonte was one of the best if not the best back in the district. Best back in the District? He's good but lets not get out of hand. Shepherd had some success in non-district and beat Tarkington. He was leading the district in rushing and was I think 4th in All purpose yards behind 3 QB's. I can't think of a better running back than him. Gotta chime in on this one. It's easy to rack up big numbers against questionable competition and being the featured back. Cleveland has loads of talent in the backfield and so does Coldspring. So much that they all need the ball alittle and that will effect overall numbers. Take a couple of these backs and feature them in a system and we probably aren't even discussing Mr. Shaw. As for the game, I think it could be close because rain takes away the pass and the speed of a game. I think it will be a slugfest and Splendora walks away with the victory.
