It means this: The weather has all but eliminated the chance of throwing the ball a lot or at least a high completion percentage. It is clearly what we do best on offense and what we are best at stopping on defense. The only issue that will face both teams is the turnover bug. If the Indians win the turnover battle, then Huffman may drown in a sea of Indian TD's rather than the rain. Nothing like Friday night lights and mother nature to get the juices flowing. Cleveland begins to assert themselves as the team to beat in district starting tonight. Indians big tonight. ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!!

The big difference Friday will come from the Cleveland defense. No more trying to be something we are not, less focus on trying to stop a play from happening and back to just punishing you when it does. We fly to the ball and we bring the helmet. No more schemes on D, just that fear of God, you better think twice before you come around me again "BEASTMODE" mentality. It worked in the past and it will work again. Huffman lost some key D linemen and I think the Indians will run wild. If we don't stop ourselves with penalties or turnovers Cleveland wins this game by three TD's. Said it before and will say it again, "The only thing that stops the Indians is the Indians." P.S. If it rains Friday and this becomes a ground war, guess what that means????? ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!!

Oh my, five guys in the secondary, that should work out to be at least ten yards a carry for the Indians. I am sure Huffman has improved but it is tough to get ready for this freak show Cleveland brings to the field. I mean that in the best way. I think the boys will be much sharper on Thursday night than they were in Liberty. That is bad news for Huffman. ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!!

Cleveland needs to balance the attack a bit. Check the numbers before speak, Cleveland scored 4 TD's at Liberty and two of them came through the air. There is a difference between not being able to pass and not needing to pass. Cleveland is usually guilty of the latter, especially this season. The new QB can throw and run.

You have to kidding me. Cleveland did not forfeit anything. The game was called due to injury. Please post things that make sense or you have researched and know to be a fact. Cleveland 8th grade needs to get away from the hype and keep doing the work. All games are decided on the field. ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!

I am happy to hear that Lib. #20 is going to be ok. That hit he took was vicious(but clean). I think Liberty played as good as they could but there was more to the game than the score. Cleveland did not benefit from having 16 days off between games. They never really got into any kind of rhythm. Cleveland was called for 6 personal fouls. That is not a misprint. I can't believe those three officials would be allowed to call anything other than 4 and 5 year old football games. Cleveland fumbled in their own endzone for Liberty's first TD. That was after Cleveland held them first and goal for seven consecutive plays due to penalties. Cleveland later fumbled on a first and goal from the 5 yd line. There were more mistakes as well. Liberty played hard but Cleveland was more responsible for their success. I think games like this can make teams better and look for that to be case with this Cleveland team. Warning to the rest of the district: Don't let the score fool you! ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!!

Yes we do have the move in from Liberty, also picked up a move in from Dallas and one from Splendora. All three of these kids are starters. Funny thing about PJ and Tooty is, it's just the two of them, but they are hard to stop. What splendora move in did you get? Yeah, stop those two guys and you win the game, but they are good. His name is Brighton Cantrella. Pretty good athlete. Hmm..I cant recall a Cantrella. 42-0 against Morehead? Wow! We lost our first game last night to White Oak 26-20...They had a 6' 5" receiver who caught everything. I am not positive it is Splendora but that is what I was told. Where ever he is from I am glad we have him.

Well I am still a little nervous about making bold predictions about my Indians. They are not playing to their potential, but that is a good thing to say when you are 3-0. The Indians have not really been tested yet but that will change this Friday. I think LCM has a solid team. I have read that their offense is struggling a bit and that is common this early in the season. I also read that the defense is having a little trouble with the run and that could be a problem. Cleveland is going to run the football and 9 times out of 10 they are going to do it very well. If they run the ball well and don't make carless mistakes I like the Indian's chances a lot. That being said I still expect a pretty competitive game. My advice to LCM: Stay away from #26 and #88 if you can. That will be much easier said than done.

Hey Indian Fan: We better get there early so we get one of those ten seats under the awning. As for the game, Huntington please don't take what happens tonight personally. The Indian's war party isn't firing all of it's tomahawks and arrows like it should be, but we are playing good enough to roll in this one tonight. The Indians have to get the kinks worked out before next week because it looks like LCM can play a little football. ROLL TRIBE ROLL!!!!!!

Had high hopes for the Cleveland 8th grade this year, but after their first game last night maybe not high enough. Against Huntington they used a running clock because of weather. Result: 4 possesions-4 touchdowns(Cl-30 H-6). Size and speed with depth at every position. Hate to look ahead, but I can't wait for the Coldsprings match up on Oct. 29. If you are free on a Thurs. night these kids are worth a look. You will not be disappointed.

The best I saw in person was Harvey Williams RB Hempstead/LSU/Oakland Raiders. Played against Cleveland in the regional finals in the late 80's. Dude ran all over us all night. Man among boys. It was very impressive.

Stole my thunder. I was about to mention all these kids. All four of the boys are starters for the Indians. Cedric Reed will be something special.

Winning is one reason these kids work their tails off, but when a your competition remarks on your sportsmanship it says alot. Character is something that can take you a long way in life. I believe it is possible to be a champion in victory and defeat. Have integrity and respect for yourself and those who are willing to line up against and you are a winner in my book no matter what the outcome. I love my Indians and hope this ride lasts for awhile, but no matter what, I could not be more proud of the players or the coaches. Roll Tribe Roll!!!

I was wondering about the status of that kid as well. I hate to hear that his injury was that severe. God's speed in healing. Hang Tough #8.
