  1. You can just pitch it around the end and let Yarborough make 3 guys miss every play. Crosby will be all over Pasadena like white on rice. Crosby will be up 40 at half. They may call off the dogs and not get to my score but they could if they wanted.
  2. Cougars 63-7
  3. Iowa Colony beat Baytown Lee 63-14. Lee got down 21-0 then closed to within 21-14 late in the half. IC scored to make it 28-14 with less than a minute in the half then put it on them in the second half.
  4. Randle caught that sweet spot on the way up in enrollment just like George Ranch a decade ago when they won State. I wouldn't be surprised if Randle wins it twice in a row here in this enrollment period before rezoning The Randle running back is much better than the one for Brenham. The kid for Brenham is good but the Randle kid should be ranked one of the top 5 to 10 overall players in the nation when he's a senior if not the top player. He's a different level from anyone I've seen in a long time.
  5. Nothing wrong with PNG having some trouble with LP. LP is a really good team and will be a lot for most teams to handle.
  6. The white team is generally what used to be called the B team and the other color in the color scheme is considered the A team. For PNG, I imagine PNG purple team to be what was formerly called the A team.
  7. Crazy to me that people actually gave United some sort of chance against PNG when they didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning even if they played 500 times...then people think PNG is going to roll LP when the Bulldogs have an actual chance to pull off an upset. I know it's an SE board but c'mon.
  8. LP 28-24
  9. How far back do you have to go to find a time when both Dayton and Crosby were bad teams? Would have to be pretty far back I would think. Usually one of the other has been fighting for district championships for the last 20 years. I can't imagine either of these teams making the playoffs this year. I suppose last year was really the first year of it
  10. Like I said.
  11. Nothing at all wrong with being somewhat predictable. Lot of teams have won a lot of games doing fairly predictable things in and executing them flawlessly. I think when LP gets into trouble is when they venture too far away from their bread and butter moreso than becoming too predictable.
  12. Bellaire is horrible. Even a mediocre team should beat them by 50. The fact that United struggled with them at all is not very encouraging. Goose Creek Memorial beat Bellaire by 20 last year and that was the second game of the season. After that they lost to everyone else on the schedule by 30 or more. It may not end up being a 50 point win for PNG bit it would be because they go ultra conservative and put in all backups in the second half. PNG will be up by 35-40 at the half.
  13. I'm not entirely sure that last year's Dayton team wouldn't have also beaten last year's Crosby team. I'm sure it felt good for Prieto, but I didn't think either team looked better than the other in terms of execution or sophistication of what they were doing. I think the bigger question for Crosby is how did they let Riordan get away.
  14. PNG by 50.
  15. You have to be really feeling some kind of way for a different reason to not admit that plopping down 2,000 extra students that barely got here and barely know English is affecting the football team there..100% has to be some ulterior motive, some other argument that is being made by proxy with arguing this one, specific topic.
  16. They have quadrupled their enrollment in ten years and doubled it in the last three years. You think all those recent immigrants are worried about playing football? Cleveland ISD has the highest percentage of ESL students in the state now..Higher than any in the valley. It's a really strange and unique circumstance in Cleveland that can't be simply explained away that hey they used to be good in foot all and now they are not.
  17. 12 years ago they had enrollment of less than 1,000....now they have 3,300. Imagine if Silsbee had 2,000 more students dropped in on them, none of whom play football, then they have to be in the district with North Shore, Summer Creek, Atascocita and CE King. They would get their butts worked over something fierce every weekend then all the good players would find a more reasonable place to play where they would have a chance. They are a 3a or 4a school playing in a 6a district. No one would want to subject the self to that, so likely their better players went somewhere else.
  18. Agreed. Dayton and Crosby was some of the worst offensive football I have seen. A battle between one team who was so confident they couldn't complete a pass they would hand it off on 3rd and 4th and long and hope he miraculously breaks one and another team whose only pass play was to fling it deep down the sidelines and hope for a good result on a tipped ball. It was rough. LaPorte and DP on the other hand. Two teams that could execute and looked like they knew what they were doing.
  19. Hard to comprehend how poor both of these passing games are for these teams. They both look like one of those games where the QB gets hurt and you have to put the receiver in there at QB to nurse things along til the end of the game, but they both looked like that from the first snap.
  20. Had LP ran the ball every play of the game, they would have won by 10. Coach is going to be kicking himself tomorrow about this one
  21. LP out coaching themselves this first half. Got away from the run too much.
  22. I'm going to throw something out and not trying to jinx them. I think LP is a state title contender this year.
  23. Make it a Google form and then the mods can publish them after the week is over
