I have given the Sun a piece of my mind a time or two. They can't get someone to update the Baytown area scores on the site throughout the night? Heck, I could do it or them if they give me a password. Just get someone to call in the scores and update the website from your house. It's not that hard. The stories are so late. They are stuck in the 1970's news world. Get someone on Twitter updating Baytown area scores, something. They are a horrible news service. I gave them the idea for that community sports thing, but they never update it at all. Why aren't the junior high and undersquad games updated in there? It's ridiculous. I get better news from this site than I do the Baytown Sun. I would actually probably subscribe to their online service if they were to update the local teams frequently and timely. No way now. And as you said, they cost an arm and a leg for what they provide.

No one else will find this interesting, but right around the 45:40 mark in the video you can hear the PA announcer talking about how Pittsburgh just scored with 5 seconds left to go up on Oakland 13-7 in what we now know as the immaculate reception game. -
I remember a Lee/Sterling game where it was coming down pretty hard. This was the mid to late 80's. Lee was the home team, and we had season tickets right below the press box. My sister and I used to always crawl up under the press box overhang. Too bad they took that away with the new pressbox, or maybe it was a good thing or liability reasons.

Must have come a gully washer for there to be that much water in front of Stallworth Stadium. Stupid eagle went to the wrong stadium. Is Zellars going to be playing tonight? I hope they hold him out. I chalk up the BH and Dayton games as losses anyways. Save him or the games we need to win to make the playoffs.

No UMBRELLAS! Raincoats or panchos

I would say that's kinda part of the equation though with that type of offense, particularly in high school. Lot of opportunities to leave the ball on the turf. I just wish I still had jabu's optimism on this. I've seen Lee lay too many eggs the past three years to carry much hope into this game.

LP beat them 26-7 and outgained them 337-73 in total yards according to the Chronicle. Sounds like a pretty good whoopin to me. I have little doubt that LP would steamroll through to an undefeated district championship if they were in 19-4A. Rosenberg Terry, as has been mentioned, is state ranked. If anything, Crosby has played the most difficult schedule, with PNG, Montgomery and Dawson. Montgomery and Dawson being similar in stature to LaPorte and Terry. And of course PNG being light years ahead of Sterling.

Yup. Horace Mann, class of 89 -
Lee needs Barbers Hill to turn it over 3 or 4 times I do believe. I can't think of any other scenario where Lee stops them. I don't see them forcing many punts, unless you get a guy slip down on first down, then maybe a hold on second down to put them in 2nd and 20. Some stuff like that will need to happen. If Barbers Hill just plays mistake free on offense, then Lee won't stop them much if at all. Lee needs to quit fiddlin around with all of the horizontal passing game. Go over the top to Richardson and Landry, assuming Scott or Zellars is back at qb. Richardson and Landry will go up and take the ball from the opponent more times than not. Take the game away from being a battle of execution and precision and turn it into individual matchups between athletes one on one on an island. That's where Lee can make their hay. They aren't going to out-execute anyone by any stretch.

Big Al was my junior high principal ;) -
I don't really think t will matter one way or the other, but Lee has played much more difficult teams. LaPorte is a legitimate 5A playoff threat and Terry beat LaMarque. Now, Lee got plastered by both of those teams, so take it for what it's worth. Just cus the Ganders played them, don't mean it did them any good.

I didn't go to the Crosby-Lee game. I don't think I would make a good game watching buddy. lol I'll be the guy off by myself at the top of Stallworth on the Barbers Hill side if I decide to go. As far as this video, I go every few weeks and do a search for "Baytown" and then arrange by upload date, just in case someone uploads something like this. Would love to watch an old Lee game on there, but I haven't ran into one yet. -
[Hidden Content] Kinda rough quality...

What's with all this letdown talk? Lee might have a let down too after beating Crosby.

Stadium packed my hind leg. Might be 250 people on the Lee side. 35-7 sounds just about right. I'll give Lee one more td, but they probably miss both pat's. 35-12

District 21-5A Favorite.....Channelview?

You have to put them in there as one of the favorites if not THE favorite. They certainly dispatched of Pasadena Memorial a whole lot easier than North Shore did. They struggled in the first game against Kingwood Park, but they beat Humble in what some thought was a fluke at the time. They have been getting stronger and stronger in the passing game as the season goes along. I guess we will know a lot more after the LaPorte game coming up. LaPorte better be ready to score some points though.
