3.
I guess what I heard was correct, except for the detail of the STJFL (your) reasoning.  Also, the speculation of where I heard this did not come from PNG.  When you tell or will tell PNG something, you may make sure the gossip closer to your home is online with what you tell PNG as well.  Why should I call you, when you are free to post as well.  It is a public forum and I will be happy to post what I want...as long as it is within the rules.  Just because I didn't hear it from you, does not mean it was not true, and as you can see, I was not wrong.  How I choose to interpret STFJL (your) reasoning is my business, and people can agree or disagree.  I take it you disagree. Thanks for the information on neutral sites from here on out.  I think that is an excellent idea and would help get rid of any home biasness.    Each home organization that hosts provides volunteers.  The STJFL will need to find some willing volunteers to setup and tear down each game...but I'm sure there will be many to step up.  Especially if their teams are out of the playoffs already.  I'm also sure that you can find a neutral site that has enough space to have multiple games occur at once.  Hopefully it will be a STJFL board vote and not a unilateral STJFL president decision.
I've been out of town and have only talked to STJFL board members and my family since yesterday. I don't know where any of the rumors came from. This is an open forum and you can post what you wish... Just know that when you post something that is not true then you will be called on it.

Png-Purple 0-28 steam roll! Bring on the spell checkers!
You're gonna have to pull it off from the Visitor's side of your own stadium.  Word is PNG teams are going to have to sit on the visitor side of their stadium...good luck with that.
Are you serious, that sucks for PNG and seems a little ridiculous that the higher seeded Purple would have to sit on the visitor side of their own stadium....let me guess Lumberton has something to do with it!?!?!?
From what I have heard, and it is speculation at this point, it is the STJFL president that pushed for it.  Whether or not it is finalized, I don't know.  He is from Lumberton....not necessarily meaning that Lumberton YFA has anything to do with it... I know that Lumberton has some higher seeded teams playing, but so does PNG and other cities.  PNG has a nice facility, but they usually have their teams sit on the home side, regardless of seed.  That is how it has been when we played there in the past.  I don't know why it would matter to the STJFL president, but it apparently does.  I know if I went to a visiting site that had opened up their doors and volunteers for my kids, I would be happy to sit on the visitor side, regardless.
If you want to know about something I say then contact me directly. My phone number and email address is available on the website for all to see. That would be better than adding drama to this public forum with some speculation you heard about. What I said was that we should not be making concessions for any teams based on where they are from because the playoffs are an STJFL event that we pay for and not about a host organization or home field advantage. We pay for the stadium and there needs to be more of a benefit for higher seeding than what town you come from. We did make concessions last year and I told PNG yesterday that they could seat folks wherever they needed to this year but that we would find neutral sites from this point forward. I'll say it again if you ever hear something you cannot verify then call someone before you post it on this public forum.

Maybe the Coaches Rep will have some insight on that.
If one of the people the coach talked to was a board memeber, then the STJFL would have been notified.  The coach cannot be expected to hold that board member's hand until he/she notifies the rest of the STJFL governing body.  The STJFL board members have duties and responsibilites themselves. If a STJFL board member is notified that one team does not have its player cards, then is the STJFL, by allowing it, declaring the players eligible, since that is what the rule enforces?  How would an opposing coach be able to ensure that?  Can the STJFL waive eligibility requirements?  I'm curious about the reasoning, as it may open up many scenarios where foul play could be allowed (not saying that's the case here).  For example, lets say I have a team and I decide to cheat the system.  I forgot my book, add a few kids, pull some kids from my local high school team, change LO ot no LO, etc.  If an STJFL official is notified that my book is missing, lost, etc., and they let the game continue, then they have declared all my players eligible.  (For the record, I wouldn't do it, and I am confident the LumW coaches did not do this either, I'm just opening the scenario to those that could exploit it.)
The coach should make the STJFL aware before the game starts and the STJFL board member should declare the players ineligible prior to kickoff. If that is not done and the game is started then the players are deemed eligible as if the cards were not exchanged at all. It is the same as most other games where coaches don't look at each others cards. There seems to have been a breakdown at several points with this game, but once a game is played it is hard to overturn unless there was an MPR or eligibility violation. Even most eligibility violations are not taken out on the team but usually results in a penalty on the coach. We always try to not punish the kids if we can avoid it. I never saw the Beaumont board member and was not aware he was at the game. I don't know what the Beaumont coach was told, but the game should not have started if he had asked the STJFL for the cards. Every scenario is different and I know it appears some situations are the same with different punishments but I can assure we put a great deal of effort as a group into keeping things fair for all.

During the first quarter, I was told by other board members that the Lumberton coach did not have his cards. The Beaumont coach did not inform the STJFL until after the game was started and had already agreed to have the Lumberton coach send somebody to get his cards. The STJFL members are usually not present at the initial MPR meeting and card exchange because it happens between the coaches before the pre-game meeting and coin flip. The purpose of the cards is to establish the eligibility of players, but if a coach allows players to start the game without verification then eligibility is implied.  Almost every game is started without card verification by either team. Before the season started we informed all coaches to stop a game and get a STJFL member to resolve conflicts, but that did not happen in this case. There were four board members present that were not from Lumberton involved with this. The STJFL Coaches Representative went to each sideline and had discussions with both coaches and all agreed to allow the game to be played and the cards were verified before the end of the game with no ineligible players. The STJFL has procedures in place to deal with issues and complaints. This is being handled by the Coaches Representative who is not associated with Lumberton or Beaumont.  He is still talking to all of the board members and he will inform everyone involved when there is a decision. Generally when there is a complaint the members of that association are not involved with the investigation or punishment and this situation is no different. I hardly ever post on this site and I'm not going to engage with anyone over this topic, but I wanted to try and set the record straight.
This statement is incorrect. Carlos and Jeani were informed prior to kickoff
One of the two you mentioned is not a board member and the other one never communicated that to the rest of us that I'm aware of. Maybe the Coaches Rep will have some insight on that.

 14.
teamraider why wasn't the lum situation not brought up before PA situation when in fact it happen first and it was evident they stopped at 25 kids and this kid didnt make it ..It was kept hush hush because the organizational alliances....LUM.VID..PnG ..Ned..Kou...lol the TRUTH...another friend fall under the wings of the alliance..not ever thinking twice about giving them a real ruling..because there FRIENDS..screw the kid and his moms job...
The Lumberton issue did happen before the PA issue, but was not actually reported until after. But the fact is they were never turned away and would be playing on a team today if they would have stayed. What was proven was that Lumberton has never had a player sign up that did not get on a team. I'll repeat that.. Never in 13 years has a child signed up for football in Lumberton that did not get to play on a team. And as far as I know the same is true for PNG and every other association in the STJFL.

The entire forum was removed due to some people spilling the beans on how some teams are picked when they have more that one team in their division. Older kids from last year goes on one team and the younger kids (less experienced) goes on another. AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT PNG DOES AND HAS BEEN DOING FOR A FEW YEARS! If that is not true, I guess PNG might want to tell their ORGANIZATION to be QUIET!!!!!
The last topic was deleted so you start another opening with "The Truth Hurts"? The STJFL looked very carefully at the Port Arthur situation... Spent hours on it in fact. The truth is there were guidelines that have worked for this organization for years that were not followed by PA even though other associations continually offered to help you guys through the first year. Most of the details have not been released because nobody wanted to air PA's laundry the way you seem to want to. But the majority of the associations you claim want to keep PA out actually voted you in so your claim makes no sense. But with that said, PA is still on probation because you are still in your first year so your "Big Bad Wolves" have not technically been voted in yet. There is no secret that several associations are now reconsidering their original vote and not because of the draft situation but due to how several of it's members have acted since the violation. An example of that is how you are acting right now. I believe your president has already spoken to you about this once... at least he was asked to. An open forum is not a place to vent your frustrations... And this one even has rules against what you are doing. However, the STJFL has monthly meetings and you need to have your association bring your issues there rather than compare your situation to every other issue within the organization. PNG has never been accused of stacking a team or any other draft violation and if you have knowledge of one (other than they have a team better than the other) you should inform your local board. The Lumberton issue you keep referring to was looked into just as thoroughly as the PA issue and no violations were found. As for the woman you said lost her job... I don't know why she lost her job, but I do know that she made remarks that put the place where she worked into a situation they did not want to be in by expressing her views that were not in line with theirs. In my opinion that is a lesson some people should learn from.
Like I stated before, I am a new to this site! The opinions made on this site should not reflect the port arthur organizations in anyway. These are the emotions and views of the port arthur community! I am no way, shape, or form apart of the organization, so I do not know what their president has spoken to them on. I do not have anyone that plays on either team, I am just a football fanatic and decided to state my opinion just like everyone else. I think that it is VERY WEIRED that an STJFL MEMBER has decided to step in and address the situation and deleted the last forum because some people are in favor of port arthur. I HAVEN'T SEEN A STJFL MEMBER address anything/anyone else! Before I made my comment, there were some PRETTY NASTY things that were said, and not once have those things been discussed or addressed! Your port were strictly to PORT ARTHUR and not to the other persons on here. And how fair is that. If you are a STJFL MEMBER (and from your knowledge of monthly meetings and the way things were done) makes it seem even worse by you only addressing PORT ARTHUR. Is it because you didn't like what was being said about other teams, or was it the simple fact that the PORT ARTHUR COMMUNITY pointed out some great facts about other teams? Being fair is all that PORT ARTHUR wants!!!!!
I understand that it was not PA that drew first blood here. Ya'll were trying to figure out where you stacked up with other teams and somebody said ya'll didn't count anyway and that ya'll cheated. That would have rubbed anybody the wrong way, but ya'll can't throw everybody else under the bus because you don't like what was said. The whole topic was out of line and that's why it was deleted. I have not seen anybody else post a nasty comment about PA before that thread... And it was deleted as soon as I saw it not just after your post. I stepped in it because you started a new thread comparing the PA situation to other associations in the league on how they drafted their teams. My comments were not directed to PA but they were in defense of the STJFL because of the two associations accused of stacking teams, one never had a complaint filed and the other was cleared after an investigation. I have been here for eight years and can promise you there is no alliance between the associations claimed. I personally have as tight a relationship with WOS than all of the others listed, and if you don't believe that just ask them.
