  1. Dude, she could be a pole dancer!! Your ol' lady is buff! Ha! Dude, she could be a pole dancer!! Your ol' lady is buff! Ha! BUFF THE STUFF!!!
  2. HJ 7th grade white vs. Lumberton: 24-0 Raiders. Anyone know how many 7th grade teams Lumberton has?
  3. I by no means know who a lot of these posters are, but Dickie as a coach of a supposed top notch high school level basketball program in TAAPS, you sure are exposing yourself & subjecting yourself to ridicule. You don't see much of our SE Texas coaches on here posting anything. They are comfortable in their own skin & don't have to justify replying to all the mundane comments made on this site. Perhaps you should do the same.
  4. A great non-district schedule for Silsbee. Hopefully it improves your team but not enough to overtake my Hawks!!!
  5. You should never have those thoughts - HA!!! I know you've relocated and have an estate, but just because we haven't been playing baseball, you could still invite us to some of your infamous back porch BBQ's. We know we're not part of the in-crowd but the Mrs. & I enjoy visiting with you & your bride. I'm pretty sure the Sour Lake powers that be wouldn't object to us getting together for quite a few cold ones.
  6. Mical, I'm with you. You know he still thinks my wife is a pole dancer.
  7. Oh I know there are no 8th graders on that team, I just had to give you a hard time about confusing my son with one of the triplets.
  8. According to your wife(sorry Tammy), you tried to credit Ryan's TD run to an 8th grader. No biggie, I'm just messin' with ya' & happy that he's finally playing & enjoying himself. What did I do??? Billiam???
  9. We witnessed the last few minutes of the 7th grade A team and it wasn't a running clock. Maybe it did prior to our arrival back at the stadium. With the large number of kids we have on both squads, with a running clock, you can't get everybody an opportunity to play. I know this isn't little league where everybody has to play, but still with all these kids dedicating their time to practice and all, they should at least get a chance to get in the game for a few plays.
  10. I know this subject was brought up on the high school football thread, but it gives me the reds that the second team 7th & 8th grade teams(if applicable) have to play their games with a running clock. I am the proud parent of HJ's second team QB(who had a 70 yard TD run by the way against K-Ville, despite "bedelmon" trying to credit someone else with it - HA!) & had the unfortunate situation of having to watch a junior high game in which the clock ran the entire time, so how in the world do you expect these teams to gain any type of continuity & teamwork when at best, the most possessions they are going to have is three or four in a game? According to UIL rules, each quarter is supposed to last (8) minutes, however, our quarters were only (7) minutes. By the time a team takes takes possession, runs their plays, the quarter is essentialy over. At best your looking at possessing the ball three to four times in a game. How in the world is that helping these kids learn how to play football regardless if it's offense or defense? When it takes longer to drive to where the game is played as opposed to the actual length of the game, that's ridiculous. You have kids who participate in practice everyday but because they may not be starters, time doesn't allow them to get on the field during the game. I work with two senior officials that have been officiating high school football for over 30 years respectively and they both told me that UIL rules state that junior high games are (8) minute quarters with no rolling clocks. The only time they are rolling clocks is if the game is a blowout & both coaches agree to it. Last night's game between HJ's & K-Ville's second string 7th grade teams was never a mismatch & therefore shouldn't have been forced to a rolling clock. It leads me to believe that either the officials didn't want to spend anymore time in the rain than necessary or the coaches were more concerned with the outcome of the 7th grade grade first teams.
  11. 7th grade B: K-Ville: 22 HJ: 14 7th Grade A: HJ: 8 K-Ville: 6 8th Grade: Heard HJ won but didn't get final score.
  12. Hey Buc, did you see what happened on the play that got our guy ejected? It was on yall's sideline & we couldn't tell what happened. Was it an actual late hit or something or did he mouth something to the official? The whole game was late hit after late hit I'm surprised 57 wasn't ejected in the first half he should have been.
  13. First of all EC never lead 21-0. They were up 21-7 but HJ scored 20 unanswered to go up 27-21. HJ mishandled the snap & missed the extra point. What the EC followers failed to realize is that Turner has been suffering from a case of food poisining this week & was kept out of almost all offensive plays in the first half. Did yall not notice that HJ threw on just about every play in the first two quarters? EC ran the ball very effectively in the first half but came out in the second half in the spread and threw the ball a ton. They would have been better off continuing with the same game plan as in the first half. After Jacoby got his legs underneath him, he torched the Bucs on a long kickoff return as well as a couple of long runs. HJ did not get lucky on these plays as a disgruntled EC fan claimed. If the game was so "gift-wrapped" as another EC fan claimed, then how does your defense give up a TD pass to Turner on 4th & 14? Seems to me you would be concentrating on him. It was an exciting game to watch regardless of whom you were pulling for, but don't come on here and say EC gave it away or HJ was lucky. The Hawks won it fair & square & now both squads move on. Do any of you EC fans know what happened exactly on the interception return that got one of our guys ejected? The ref wouldn't even come over & give our coaches an explanation.
  14. Man what happened to Smithson Valley?
  15. Somewhat disappointed at the sparse crowd on HJ's side. You would think for the season opener there would have been more fan support.
  16. No Dickie you are. Just because the three you mentioned along with Lebron play for pay does in no way put them in his class. You've lost your mind. How many league MVP trophies does this threesome have? :D :D :D
  17. Anybody know when it is?
  18. Hey Coach, other than the camp Coach Sutherland & former Coach Simms host @ the high school at the end of the school year & the one Coach Sutherland co-sponsors @ Westgate Baptist I believe, are there anymore local camps you recommend? I have two sons in the HJ basketball program, and unfortunately they possess all my basketball skills, so I was wondering if there are any other opportunities they can take advantage of.
  19. It's gonna be worse than that. Carolina with too much size & State with too many turnovers.
  20. Are you familiar with the phrase "reverse discrimination?" It must be nice that society allows you to play the race card without any ramifications. Yeah ok....I am urban remember....Suburban....but still URBAN....believe that.
  21. Oh we know. You won't let us forget it. Yeah ok....I am urban remember....Suburban....but still URBAN....believe that.
  22. 2012, I think Poppa's reply was sarcasm. Good luck with that! H-J has two awesome 7th Graders that just OWN the floor. A four is a Power Forward The one is the Point Guard The two is the Shooting Guard The three is the Small Forward The four is the Power Forward The five is the Center

  24. Boy it sure would have been nice to see Donahoe try & lead SFA to an upset win against Syracuse.
