  1. Looks like BH is going to give United a run for its money this year, off to a great start after a 2nd place finish in the McDonalds Tournament in Pasadena. 7-1 on the season with wins over Cy-Fair, Veterans Memorial of SA and Klein Oak. Loss by 5 against CC Veterans Memorial.
  2. The defensive coordinator came and changed to "his" scheme before he even saw what personnel he had. They would have been better off sticking with last years DC's scheme. The QB did a good job most of the year punting, no complaints there but the short kickoffs were bad last night. Its not a bad idea having the QB punt because it does make the defense have to play honest for a potential fake. Just kick it out of bounds or kick it high enough they have to fair catch it. And how can there not be a kid on the soccer team that can kick long field goals? Surely there is one. I dont know how they replace the QB next year, he made so many critical yards with his legs and tough running. He is a very tough kid. The RB was also a very tough runner when healthy. oldman is a BH coach, he is sensitive to any coaching criticism. He should probably stay off the boards but he cant help himself.
  3. What happened to Bellville and the rest of the greater houston area? They are all getting smoked. Manvel got worked in 5a, Bellville in 4a, Columbus in 3a. And I just noticed East Bernard got worked as well before state. Yikes
  4. I wish I could make this BH vs Manvel game. The 6pm start time on the other side of Houston with horrible rush hour traffic is a no go for me.
  5. RSS game postponed due to covid issues with LaPorte
  6. So has BH still not clinched the fourth spot? If they end up tied, how do they break a tie if the head to heads were split?
  7. lol so that makes sense on why he might have said it. Regardless why has this game not been made up? Nederland has since played United and PNG played BH. Why didnt they play saturday?
  8. Exactly lol....what he did for jermaine, clint and drew was change their lives...IF Olin hadnt been their coach they wouldnt have been what they were either. The difference is they were at least Baytown boys. Jermaine was DE until Olin arrived. Clint was a WR and Drew was a puny ball boy. Had Olin been at say Sterling instead of REL I think we would be saying a different group of names which is my point. Olin was a head of his time and made a huge difference in not only those kids careers but many others at REL. They were horrible before he arrived.
  9. Hats off to PNG they play tough defense against BH. The real question is how are they 0-8 or whatever in district?
  10. Thats awesome. It's amazing what Dick Olin did for that kid. Recruited out of Crosby to a successful high school career parlayed into a heck of a nice coaching career.
  11. Why cant this game be rescheduled again? Isnt there a few saturdays open to play?
  12. United folks need to keep the pressure on. Its hard to even see the spin of the ball in that environment.
  13. Lower scoring output in that game for United than I would have expected.
  14. First time in it last night, I noticed it right off the bat, its too dark. Ridiculous really. The lighting over the stands was brighter for some reason.
  15. After seeing both I would love to see them play. Honestly not sure who I would take. United is athletic, long, fast and can shoot. It would be a great matchup and needs to happen. BH looked like they had no idea what they were walking into tonight.
