What is the uil rule on high school coaches coaching their own players in select?

Pettitte is 84-87 with a good hard slider, curve. Very smart pitcher of course but not unbeatable. Kempner has Dusek and Taccolini on the hill. Dusek is a Tech commit and Tacc is a Arkansas commit.  Should be a great series and one for revenge for DP as Kempner ousted them last year. On a side note, Cole Bedford the catcher who is committed to A&M for DP has not played since the first round of district due to injury, could be a wildcard if he comes back as I dont know the nature of his issue.

gcmpats and dayton fans, what makes you think BH is a deeper team than Brenham? Have you guys seen Brenham play this year? From a pitching standpoint Thames is very good but not overpowering, 83-85 mph tops...They do not have a 95mph stud ala Josh Beckett to trot out there which I think somewhat equalizes them come playoff series time IMHO. Now Brenham doesnt either which is why I think this series is a toss up regardless of records, dont let the rankings and records fool you. Denny and Wunderlich are both studs. Newman and Beasley both very good catchers. Homan and Joziwak are both good SS. Thames is probably the best pitcher in the series but Brenham has very capable arms as well. Its too bad this matchup is happening so early in the playoffs too. Anyway I hope they figure out a way to keep it a 3 game series.

I ve seen both teams play this year and they are pretty similar in that they play hard and the right way. Beating Brenham at Firemans on Thursday night will be tough, that is a tough place to play those guys. IF BH wins game 1 I think they win, but I dont think they do and I think Brenham wins in 3.

Blake Goins had 7-8 scouts in the stands for Pearland and word was he hit 95mph while sitting 90-93. Rangers still swung the bat well facing a guy of that caliber and the wind didnt help. Wind blowing in 20-30 mph, terrible conditions.

Not sure  I would want the big target on my back at this point in the season but congrats, both programs are very impressive.
