As mentioned NS has two middle schools. Last year both the north shore middle school and cunnigham had really good 7th grade a teams. but like you mentioned, good players with bad coaching doesnt always equal wins. From what I saw last year North Shore was the better coached team. And I believe that each of the jr highs play one out of district game which for Dayton was Cunningham, but for BH it was Forest Brook middle school...what I heard ended tied 6-6. Forest brook has good players but has even less coaching and structure..kind of shocked that they were able to tie BH's 8th grade A group. why doesnt sterling go ahead and play GCM and BH? 5a schools play 4a schools all the time...its local, they would be fun games, less traveling expense...bigger crowds. It cant be just that Minyard is scared to lose to a 4a school is it? from what i heard it is going to be a long season for the ranger boys.

Post Oak's 13s are very good too....we played them when we were 11 and they were stacked. They got beat last year by first colony who ended up playing BC very tight in the state tourney last year.

word is that this year the jr high districts will be changed to include bh and dayton for the baytown schools, not sure if its just them or includes crosby, forest brook etc or not.

In the 13 region tournament last weekend, Orange went 0-3. Pearland won the regional....Baytown went 2-1 and lost out on a run allowed tie breaker to advance to the tourney championship to face Pearland who we had already beaten in the District tourney..kind of a screwy deal, Texas City advanced out of the sectional to zone in a tournament of teams that didnt win district...Pearland came in 3rd...so Pearland won the regional tournament after finishing second and 3rd in district and sectional tournaments...while we went 4-1, won district but dont advance because we gave up one more run than League City who we also beat....lol I think Orange had their eyes opened a little bit, I think they got beat pretty good each game.

well last year port neches came out of the beaumont region...just wasnt sure what all area that was made up of? the port neches 13's advanced all the way to the zone tournament which is one step from the world series...
