I haven't seen either team, but if Yoe beat up on Bellville that bad then Yoe is going to be a very strong test for the Eagles. Having lived in Woodville for several years, I am excited to see them do so well. Hoping they can pull off the upset and continue on.

I think Jasper is lucky if they make it to the next round. I think Liberty will make it to the next round.

They have a receiver with near 2000 yards and 34 td receptions?? Those stats are gaudy.

I would like to add a thank you to our seniors. These guys played a significant role in leading Tarkington to our playoff appearances the last 3 years. The highlight being our sole playoff win over Mexia two years ago. Been a pleasure watching you young men for all these years.

Not many highlights for the Longhorns. We had 2 first downs I believe. A couple nice kickoff returns; we had quite a few attempts. A couple good defensive stands. WO-S speed was over-whelming to say the least. Mix that in with some good hard running and it was a long night on defense for the Horns. I was most impressed with the class that was exhibited by both teams. WO-S did very, very little showboating. They played with a lot of class and respect for their over-matched opponent. My Horns gave it what they had and played with good attitudes and sportsmanship. Wasn't a whole lot of helping each other off the turf, but there wasn't any nasty stuff that you might see sometimes in a lopsided affair. Our players will look back on this as a learning experience and set their sights on getting better. This was a rebuilding year for us and it showed. We lose a few really good seniors, but have a lot of underclassmen who gained valuable experience tonight. About the only weakness I saw with WO-S is a tendency to over-pursue the ball which leaves the counter and reverse open, but with so much speed what would be a TD or a huge gain against most teams is 8-10 yards against you guys. That and the inconsistency on the extra points. Dallas kid can sure boot that ball on kickoffs, why is he not the normal place kicker? Best of luck to WO-S. Hope you bring home another trophy to SE Texas.

Henderson is always exciting to watch offensively. Very talented.

Tarkington mostly runs the slot T. We have struggled this year with injuries, consistency, and adjusting to program changes. Horns will come out and give it their best. Just hoping for an injury free game; we have had two torn up knees the last two weeks.

Bellville will have some success early, but in the end I think Shepherd takes this. I have seen them both and I think that Bellville has the better offense and Sherpherd has the better defense. I think Shepherd's defense makes more stops than Bellville's. Turnovers could very well decide this game if there are any. Should be an exciting game. I enjoyed the Pasture. Good atmosphere for a high school football game.

I think Liberty absolutely played to win. Perhaps he should of jumped into the spread in the 4th quarter and see what happened. They have moved the ball well out of the spread, but it was mostly by running. Sorry, but trying to run draws out of the spread against WO-S is stupidity. Smart coach, good game plan. Outmatched, but the Panthers played well on both sides of the ball. WO-S speed was very impressive, and I am so glad I finally got to see Jack Dallas in person. He made some beautifult passes, and his athleticism is top notch. The pass to Shaw was about as pretty as you will see at the high school level. Also, I think that freshman scatback from Liberty was impressive. Good little motor. Question:. Why doesn't WO-S just go for 2 everytime? Shutting people out it doesn't but the likelihood of a shooting in the semis or finals is very possible. Those points matter.
