Didn't Spurger make a appearance in Austin in 2010?
They were there the year Silsbee was there. -
I think I heard somewhere that the search would begin the middle of next month (?)
Job is posted..should hire by the end of Feb.

Silsbee thumped they pretty hard but they played WOS really close.
Yes, Silsbee did thump them pretty hard, won by 48, 76-28. After watching Jasper get "thumped", this comes as a complete surprise to me with them beating Hudson. It could be 1 of 2 things. Jasper could be getting better or Hudson wasn't as good as I thought they were.
Now we need Dominic Bailey to come back for the rematch against Silsbee like he did a few years back to when we won the 2nd time after an equally bad beating at the hands of the Tigers. It seems he skipped his senior year so he should have a year of eligibility left :)
Tigers would welcome that rematch. There is no Bailey or Spikes anywhere near this Jasper team. ;) BTW, ever hear of one-hit wonders? The classic case= Jasper 2009. ::)
Humbug..

Lumberton vs. Dayton Game Thread/Dayton wins 65-45!

Dayton won 65-45. Dayton was too long for Lumberton. Lumberton played tough but Dayton had a couple of spurts to bust it open. -
(steps on soap box) I was kind of disappointed in a bunch of the WOS fans though. With over 5 minutes left they were filing out of the stadium like their team wasn't worth supporting. This game was no where near over. I cannot stand this "fair weather" fan attitude. I have seen it show it's head on the Coldspring side also, and wish that those fans would stay at home. If you can't cheer for your team when they are losing, then you shouldn't be allowed to cheer for them when they are winning either. Congratulations Trojans.
I sat on the WO-S and left about that time you mentioned. Plenty tried to leave to get a head start on the traffic..bad idea...I didn't see many blue and silver leaving as I was walking out. I sure 1/2 of each side was supporters from other towns.
has a great offensive game. i only watched 2nd half but didnt get back on defense very well (coulda been the fact they were already up 40 points) if they can rebound the ball they will be a deep team this year im also wondering if the lumberton team even got in the gym together over the summer and fall.the whole team looked uncomfortable playing together out there, hopefully they can turn things around
2 or 3 Lumberton starters weren't on the floor for this game. Wouldn't have changed the outcome but maybe lessened the margin. -
Congrats to Coach Johnson and the Lady Horns.
