6.
Congratulations Dogs! Jasper is playing Burnet in a warm up game on Tuesday at College Station A&M, 7:00 p.m.
We owe them, just in a different sport.
 7.
This is the first time since 2007 that Jasper goes into the playoffs as District Champs and a first round bye. In 2007 it was decided between Jasper and Bridge City in a great game that changed leads back and forth until the final innings. Jasper prevailed and a rematch was set in motion to play BC in the best of 2 out of 3 for the right to go to the state finals. Jasper again won the 1st game, BC claimed the 2nd, and 3rd game decided it all for right to go to the state round, where Jasper won both the Semi-Final and Final in dominating fashion. Many believe that the true state championship game was that last meeting between Jasper and Bridge City in 2007.
I saw all the games you mentioned.  Those were some exciting games.  I think Jasper has a great shot again this year, but the Region is full of very good teams.  Best 2 out of 3 and Jasper will be very tough to beat.  One gamers are a dice roll when teams are so talented.
 8. Orangefield and Jasper have to be the most favored to represent Region 3, but BC and several other teams are very capable of pulling off the mild upset.  There should be some very good and interesting series this year.
 9. Vidor is typically big and strong upfront.  If they control the line they will beat Kirbyville.
 10.
I think you guys are forgetting someone. Neil Hennigan. 53 Playoff wins from 2000 to 2007. 1 State Championship. 2 State Finals. 3 Regional Finals. 1 Regional Semi-Final. 1 Regional Quarterfinal. I think that record will surpass most if not all in Southeast Texas. Just curious why this name was left out of the discussion.
I almost brought him up.  He certainly had a great run at Colmesneil and Woodville.
 11. Burleson started, Phillips 3rd and 4th, Alvis pitches 5th 11 hits for Jasper 7 hits for Rusk 11 runs for Jasper in the 3rd was the difference. 1:30 game HR    Derek Sowell 10-1 District  22 or 23-3 overall
 12.
Guess no BH in this one?  JDog, what's up with Jasper?
They are struggling it seems.  Their times looked competitived in the premils but sure didn't in the finals.
