PN-G [/quote] Seems Jasper has played Vidor 4 times this year.  3-1 against Vidor, one game was just a scrimmage.  Both of Vidor's losses have been to Jasper and Jasper only loss was to Vidor.  These teams get to hook up again in Jasper at Jasper's tournament.  Games have been competitive.  I think both teams are benefiting from each others competition.

[/quote] I fell for the size thing against last time HJ played Silsbee, and then I fell for the speed and athleticism thing when they played Cleveland.  I have no clue who will win this game.  It will come down to who can get the momentum at the right time and staying out of foul trouble.

Good luck to our same suspects at Regionals.  Quite an accomplishment to make it every year.  I will be first to say I am not surprised to see Silsbee here.  They are loaded.  HJ showed their grit all year long and are a complete team and very much deserve the shot at representing region III at Austin.  Good luck to you both.

Their guards turned the ball over a lot and they didn't guard the outside shooters very well. Cleveland hit a lot of wide open threes...... [/quote] Cleveland has the speed to cause the turnovers and get plenty of open 3 attempts.  HJ and Cleveland will be a fun game to watch.

You need to test Yourself against tough competion in order to have a shot at winning in district play, where the wins mean something.JMAO [/quote] Scheduling 2 local 3A teams is nothing to scoff at.  Who do you want them schedule?  Jasper, WO-S, Silsbee to get beat down??  Or maybe drive up to Carthage or Kirbyville and get slaughtered?  I mean get real they already have murder's row in district.  Who else is even left in the area for them to play that isn't already in their district?  Play good competitive games to build up whatever momentum you can to get ready for a very difficult district season. 

Millions of dollars saved on what local districts should have the option to do themselves.  Many districts already were doing this more effectively than the state ever could before the silly law was passed.  The number of positives was so small it almost seemed fishy.

Always good to be making good contact during scrimmages.  Don't read too much into these scrimmages.  Vidor and LCM both have aces that would be very tough to beat in a real game.  To me giving up 2 runs is more impressive than scoring 17.  That says something about the depth of pitching for the Dogs this year.

[/quote] Don't confuse outside shooting with scoring.  He was as good as they come in finishing, but outside shooting wasn't his forte.  I know he put up 30 or more on many occasions.  I am quite sure he averaged 20-22 per game his senior year.  That is a pretty good scorer in my book.
