Jasper's poll is based on relative strength within their conference. Kirbyville is the higher ranked team of the two at this point. As far as Crosby needing to be 5th instead of 6th..I rank those teams based on who would beat who IMO. I think Crosby would get smoked by any of the teams ranked ahead of them. Hup, you contradict yourself. You say you rank Crosby lower because you THINK they would lose to the teams ranked ahead of them. But you rank Evadale ahead of teams that you say would beat them. That's not very credible. BTW, a team actually beating another team carries more weight than a speculative win. : How many times do I have explain that the 2 ranking systems are different? The 4A/5A RANKING is heads up ranking. The 3A and Under is based on RELATIVE STRENGTH to be fair to the smaller schools.

I watched some of their video. It didn't stream very well for me. The field was horrible but you could tell that PAM has a ton of talent.

Jasper won't be in the polls this week. They zero votes last week and didn't do anything special this week to gain anyone's attention that they didn't already have. And seeing how they had no votes last week a few votes this week is all to be expected. Personally, I think not being in the top 10 is a good thing because it will keep them hungry.

I tried to explain what relative strength means and even gave a disclaimer at the bottom...I'd say Evadale couldn't play within 28 points of anyone in the top ten but that is not type of poll I constructed.

***Note to those living in the Triangle voting on this poll*** Corrigan is a good football team. Their only lose is to Newton in Week 1 and they whooped Coldspring that you all have ranked. They just manhandled Buffalo, who previously only had 1 loss. This team is located just south of Diboll and has State Championships in football and track. They won state in track last year. They have ATHLETES!!

Good teams don't keep making mistakes. Congrats Silsbee on showing your the better team tonight. WO-S needs to figure it out quick or they might be at home come playoff time! its really time to stop making excuses and turning a blind eye and call a spade a spade. its really not going well at all and the bad part is theres really no improvement!! I think this result is more of a wake up call than anything previous this year. Time to get the ball into the hands of the play makers. Expect changes in Mustang land. i thought kville was the wake up call. it seems were getting punched but either we cant or we refuse to punch back! when do the "wake up calls" stop and we actually wake up? right now i dont see us beating orangefield or bc! You gotta know this loss gives both of those other OC teams hope. Now that would be a shocker if they lost to either of those two. What is their combined record against WOS? 0-20?

WOS = VEER = STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS... not hard to figure out. What is Hooks thinking. He watched it work to perfection for so long? I always thought WOS was more explosive out of the veer. And I think it lends itself more to a defensive minded team because it chews up more of the clock than the spread. Seems defenses don't get much rest when their offense is in the spread. I might be wrong, but it sure seems that way to me.

Daytown at least went down with a fight!! Daytown did a great job, but it just so happens that Crosby came to win, had their minds set on a goal, and came thru.... SO..... GET YOU SOME OF THAT!!!! Come on Dayton practically gave Crosby the ball in the redzone for everyone of those scores. Crosby certainly earned the win, but on a dry field this score would have been much different. Crosby deserves the win and it is good to see a team beat a rival that has owned the series for the last few years. I am not at all angry about that I am actually excited.... Our boys fought to the end. And that may be the case but we can't change the results. The Cougars were in it to win it!!! And win it they did. Going to be a good week of practice for them for the next opponent.
