  1. Silsbee elects to receive. Mijares to kickoff. The Sophomore sends it to the 19 and Silsbee returns it to the 35.
  2. 73 degrees with winds from the north at 5 mph. ready for kickoff!
  3. No, you said that, about 100 times already. Folks, Kerry thinks Jasper is no good, got lucky when that beat his precious Stangs. I don't think he ever said anything bad about Jasper, can't remember anything good though either. Tonight should heal some wounds for him. Hopefully the Dogs win and keeps up the momentum into district. There is another big game on the horizon but one at a time.
  4. This is going to be an outstanding game. Good luck to both.
  5. no worries the huper poll gives them their due.
  6. Dayton was in the district with Jasper sometime around there too. I don't remember Vidor being in their with us but they might could have been.
  7. Not all district have started playing district games. There are so many new teams these days that it is hard to keep up with all of them. You have kingwood, kingwood park, and college park all within 30 miles or so.
  8. Folks east of trinity probably have no clue that their is a kingwood park because they haven't been around very long. But yeah BH doesn't want any of kingwood that is for sure.
  9. Dayton Central Livingston Vidor (tough to pick this one) PNG Jasper WOS Cleveland Anahuac Buna EC Colmesneil Evadale Nach Barbers Hill Coldspring Crosby Houston CE King Huffman High Island Tougher picks this week. AggiesAreWe in a landslide.
  10. Just a fyi...the list says BH vs Kingwood. I hope everyone knows that it actually is Kingwood Park. A huge difference b/t Park and just plain Kingwood.
  11. Its all in good fun. I do think that it has a bias away from the teams not in the immediate triangle area, but that is human nature.
  12. HUP you need to put this list together each week. These clowns from WOS and East of the Trinity have no clue. The list gets worse and worse and worse each week. Very nice and more accurate list HUP, thanks for injecting common sense to this thread. Common sense is bad for the karma So each week we will have a new poll West of Trinity Members Poll for Week 5 5A/4A 1. Dayton 2. Central 3. Lumberton 4. Vidor 5. PNG 6. WB 7. Memorial 8. BH 9. LCM 10. Livingston 3A and under 1. Jasper 2. WOS 3. Newton 4. Kirbyville 5. Cleveland 6. Orangefield 7. Evadale (deserves a better rank but they can't beat any of the others in the top 10) 8. Coldspring 9. HJ 10. BC Now I just need 9 more people to vote on these each week from west of the trinity. Heck just 9 people out of the golden triangle (i.e. didn't attend GT schools or live there currently). You know people from Livingston, Woodville, Warren, Buna, HF, Cleveland, Dayton, BH etc. can vote on this one. One wonders how different the poll would be.
  13. Because Dayton would smash lumberton and I think central has played better competition and played admirably. This is just my poll meant to get the juices flowing before the "10" from the triangle ignore all logic and vote State-Finalist Dayton 5th place in the big school poll simple because they live close to BH-89. Wow, a little touch of sour grapes here. Wins over a very weak 19-4A isn't a whole lot to beat your chest about. BTW, that State-Finalist was last year, this poll is THIS YEAR. Yes it is this year but Dayton certainly has shown they are the premier 4A team in this area for the last several years. If you are going to include them in the poll give them the respect they have earned. As far as Silsbee is concerned, Bobcat, 1-3 doesn't deserve a ranking in any poll. I am sure they will be back in the poll soon enough. Especially if they win this week. But if they lose to Jasper and go 1-4 do they still deserve to be above teams that are undefeated?
  14. NS is scheduling some heavy weight teams this year. This is what Texas HS football is all about.
  15. Because Dayton would smash lumberton and I think central has played better competition and played admirably. 16. EC will have to avenge last year's lost to Hardin for that to come true. After the lackluster showing they had against Buna I would not be looking too far ahead in the schedule if I were the BUCS.
  17. Coach W had some good teams, but I am quite certain 03-04-05 had plenty of swagger about them. Matter of fact it might have been the swagger that cost us a championship when we thought we were unbeatable against McGee/Shipley. But I agree that they are quickly looking like Jasper again.
  18. be nice. wasn't long ago the dogs were down and getting kicked around.
  19. 8th graders can't play on varisty...well i guess it is possible depending on their age..surely you meant 9th graders.
  20. Not my poll but I say they are 6 this week instead of 7 last week. Almost willing to give them 5th but Cleveland is the better of the two at this point.
  21. Glad you could get a piece of home while on duty. Keep your wits about you, and come home safely...... I 2nd those thoughts. God bless and stay safe.
  22. My new poll 5A/4A 1. Dayton 2. Central 3. Lumberton 4. Vidor 5. PNG 6. WB 7. Memorial 8. BH 9. LCM 10. Livingston 3A and under 1. Jasper 2. WOS 3. Newton 4. Kirbyville 5. Cleveland 6. Orangefield 7. Evadale (deserves a better rank but they can't beat any of the others in the top 10) 8. Coldspring 9. HJ 10. BC At least that is how I would vote.
  23. let me rephrase that.........dfield has the best skill position players i have ever seen on a 2a team..........the qb, rb, and a freaking load of recievers are very good. Matching skill for skill is fine, but Dfield can't compete with the beef that Gilmer can throw at them up front. Great win again for Gilmer. This will only make Daingerfield mad and more dangerous. Hard to imagine a 2A better than them, but in Texas you never know.
  24. Sure it gets smooter. Cleveland is the last heavy weight in the district. Huffman will hold their own against the rest of the district.
