typical Jasper/WO-S thread. It will be the same way next year..assuming they play each other. WO-S was clearly out of sync. Jasper had a lot to do with that because they were aggressive on offense. WO-S gave up a couple big runs but otherwise played solid defense. Turnovers hurt both teams. Calls were waved off that hurt both teams. So who plays who this week?

I don't know about a deep run but they are looking better than last year. Some tough games still lay ahead too.

There is no reason for Jasper fans to be trashing on WO-S. Their fans haven't been talking smack about this game. Let them lick their wounds and move on. Once they figure out their offense they are going to be just fine. Their defense is not the problem.

I was not saying the refs had anything to do with it. The bulldogs played their butts off. Its just normal. teams get fired up to play us. But when it comes down to it, and we go to playoffs We will forget about this game and jasper will still be living on it. Of course they will be living on it, WO-S has multiple State titles under their belt. You build on beating a team that is a powerhouse. WO-S got their gut check moment early in the season and will only be better after this lose. lets hope... Who does WO-S have left in predistrict? They should cruise through district as usual. Silsbee might be able to hang with them again this year, but I can't see them losing to the Tigers. Silsbee is one of those other schools in the area with a knack of playing WO-S close games though.

Wasn't there but that sure isn't the way that the Jasper annoucers saw it.. Penalties-yards WO-S 10-70 Jasper 14-102. How in the world Jasper got a face mask while on defense on 4th and forever is beyond me but I am sure they did it. I only heard 2 flags being waved off and one was in each teams favor, but like I said I wasn't there. Either way Jasper won that game straight up without the help of any zebras.

Good point. Seeing how the website even gets quoting in newspapers in the area it does make sense that the voters be spread around from the whole area. As far as I can tell most of the voters are in the beaumont area.. I would say both. I'd say Jasper is getting better and have brought back their swagger to their defense. Huge win for the program. WO-S will really have a fire in their bellies after this one is my guess.
