Good point. Seeing how the website even gets quoting in newspapers in the area it does make sense that the voters be spread around from the whole area. As far as I can tell most of the voters are in the beaumont area.. I dont remeber how you used to mark them but I dont mind you listing them. I just ask that you not make them in different colors or light colors because i dont have a color printer. I dont think that is too much to ask! If I can just list them I promise I won't mess up. I copy the first one I see and then have to unbold ones I disagree with and then bold my pick. Unfortunately the one game I goofed on by not unbolding last week was a no brainer that probably no one missed so to then give me a loss on top of a sure win by everyone else would be insult to injury. But I can't blame you for asking because someone could just not mark the toss ups and help their percentage. Hope I didn't sound critical because I can't imagine how many hours it takes you to compile all this for us. So thanks for the time spent bringing us some fun on the board.

Balbay can move down the court so fast with the ball. He doesn't need to shot as long as he can play defense, pass the ball and make a lay up.

Jasper is going to have to hold onto the football to have a chance. The triple option will be playing into the strength of a quick and disciplined defense. Defensively Jasper plays very good at times and gives up huge plays at times. WO-S makes huge plays so I expect that for Jasper to have a shot they will have to limit the huge plays and force some turnovers. Should be a tight game if Jasper plays well. I don't think either team scores more than 3 touchdowns.

This is a good game for HJ to have on the schedule. Props to the coaches for testing their boys in predistrict. It will only payoff down the road. I saw HJ scrimmage and they have the ability to go vertical. They might put up some points on Vidor.

Pretty tough program with a coaching staff that pushes kids the way hooks does, that sometimes has a way of weeding out a few that otherwise might just stand on the sideline all year..just my theory.

Sounded like Kirbyville just made too many mistakes. They sure moved the ball in big chunks of yards at a time. Jasper defense certainly deserves a lot of credit and Jasper's offense is started to take shape. This game will only make both teams better down the line.

McGill just intercepted the ball again.. 4th quarter 3 ints and a fumble recovery...that would be impressive.

I would imagine any of those 4 teams could beat the other on any given night. I believe they all are loaded with talent. I think this might be the best that 3A has been in several years.

I think teams that get really hyped up and play a great 1st half against team they are not suppose to be able to hang with so often have a 2nd half let down. Turnovers certainly were a factor but I also think Jasper just ran out of gas. Gilmer played with determination to make the score what it should be to the very end. All in all I think it was a promising 1st game for Jasper and certainly showed how potent Gilmer can be.
