It was not Silsbee's ace, for some stupid reason the 3 or 4 pitcher was pitching. This is what happens when a coach does not go for the win. > Great job by Jasper. Perhaps this will work out in the end for Silsbee. This saved this best to pitch in a must win situation. It was a tall order for him to beat Jasper, although he might have, but now he is available against a team they must win against.

Parson pitched until the last inning. He gave up a lead off hit that was later thrown out on a steal attempt I believe. And then didn't give up another hit struck out 7 I think. Yates came in and pitched the 5th..he also gave up 1 hit and struck out 2.

13-0 Stephenson hit another homer..3 run homer this time. Top 4th still no outs.

Sorry it was Stephenson that hit his second grand slam of the season. (He said 2nd and I thought he was referring to Bronson who I knew had one earlier this year.)

Jasper's Malcolm Bronson just hit a bomb to give Jasper an 8-0 lead.

What you described is exactly what Jasper so tough last year. They didn't stand out they just got the job done. It does appear they are off to a "slow" start. Meanwhile, it seems Hicks reputation grows with each game he pitches. Hope to get to see him pitch again this year.

I predict that of the 3 kids that have been mentioned one will be MVP and it will be whichever one is on the team that wins district. I don't know BC or HJ well enough to know if they have another player that could win the MVP but Jasper does have a couple capable of outshining Hart (Parsons and Bronson).

Shelbyville had some good teams back in those days. Coach Joe Tom Schillings brought home two state titles in the early 80's with the Dragons.

Park is all freshmen and Soph. Pretty impressive.

Seems to me that an ATHLETIC DIRECTOR or administrator on duty were the ones needing to intervene...not the Super. That is why he hired them. I imagine there is much more to this story than any of us know..yet we say stuff about it out of the side of our heads.
