  1. Yeah but those last 3 may be the best 3 by the looks of the scores lately.
  2. Lot of districts have 21 point max spread for tiebreakers. Don't know if that is the case with 21-AAA or not, but more than likely that touchdown was about tiebreaker than anything else.
  3. You are joking right?
  4. Who knows? I didn't think HF was better than Silsbee and sure didn't think Orangefield could give Kirbyville such a hard time. I suspect this will be a good game, both teams know what is on the line this Friday.
  5. This is a game that Jasper not only needs to win but needs to win big. That 21 point point spread for HF was huge. Jasper needs try and match that just in case things don't go well in Silsbee, and because Kirbyville handed them a big loss already. I have a feeling the 3rd spot will come down to some kind of tie-breaker.
  6. well, from what I understand Central didn't help themselves by fumbling the ball a couple of times. Not taking away anything from Lumberton, their defense definitely put alot of pressure on Centrals OL. Central is gonna have to improve on the fundamental errors! Good job Raiders....
  7. Giddings is dern good again this year. With Dock and Fitzhenry commanding both sides of the ball.. can't wait for the rematch.
  8. I was at that Giddings game and felt the better team won, and if not the better team then certainly a team equal to WO-S that executed better.
  9. What is the size of the district landwise? I know they border PNG and PA who do the border with on the other two sides?
  10. Very well might happen. Jasper is still struggling but I am glad to hear that Coach Brooks is moving some personnel around. One wonders when they might go under center and use the run more??
  11. WO-S because they have tremendous talent, and a tenacious defense and a great running back that is a threat to score on any play. Not very many kids in our area that have the skills of DPG, and their defense is 2nd to none (again).
  12. WO-S would get my vote with a close 2nd to Newton.
  13. Lumberton being 5-0 is a big deal. I would love to see them make the playoffs, but there are still several teams that they haven't fair very well against through the years on their schedule. When they beat Dayton I certainly took notice and feel they have what it takes to make the top 3.
  14. LH mostly runs the ball but can certainly hurt you through the air at the right time. Even if WO-S just throws the ball 10 times a game and can hit 4 or 5 for good gains it makes a huge difference in the game plan of the defenses they face.
  15. Those are 3 games that honestly could go either way. I will go with Tarkington (if Brooks is back) Cleveland based on their performance against Navasota and Splendora's against Diboll. Coldspring and Liberty is a tough one too. I pick Liberty in this one because Coldspring has been slipping lately and grades always seem to hurt them.
  16. I don't remember the final. Something like 48-6 or 55-6. Last I heard Navasota was beating Coldspring handily.
  17. Coaches I have talked to about Jasper say they don't have the speed or athletes of just a few years ago. Sometimes it just take winning a few games to get things rolling.
  18. WO-S seems to be committed to not having people on the varisty that aren't going to play. I would think that would help your JV quite a bit. At least that is my impression with them having small varsity squads each year. How many do you have on the varsity roster this year?
  19. Kirbyville, Jasper and WO-S all have had some good years in 3A. Kirbyville hasn't made it quiet as deep in the playoffs as the other 2, but certainly are becoming a threat year in and year out in Region III. Its good to have another team pick up the slack left behind when Newton dropped to 2A. I am surprised the most by the fact that Silsbee hasn't had a nice deep run in the 3A playoffs yet.
  20. I am sure the coaches will do all they can to keep their heads on straight, but with the win against Dayton I think they are favored for one of the 3 playoff spots.
  21. Where is his son, Brian, these days?
  22. Nice job. The links didn't work for me but I liked the site. Do you have a page that shows each team individually and their scores so far this season?
  23. what are district records now?
  24. WO-S vs Bay City turning into a nice little rivalry. Do these games draw large crowds playing on Saturday?
  25. Thought Newton could win, didn't think it would be so easy for them. Congrats to the Eagles. Cant' remember the last time they lost 2 in a row.
