  1. Never make the 3rd out at home?? Man that is some boring baseball. I like aggressiveness. I agree to never make the 1st out at 3rd. You can't tell me that with a weak batter coming up and a single to the outfield that most coaches wouldn't risk sending a running home if there was was two outs. If you wouldn't send a runner home on a tag up that made the 2nd out, why would you send one home when they catch is the 1st out? If you think you have a good chance to score a run you better try and score it with 2 outs.
  2. 3-2 and bases loaded you want a strike. Most pitchers feel more comfortable from the windup. Yeah that was a huge play and you are right it may have been an out, but the guy on 2nd probably gets a pretty big jump either way. The guy at third wouldn't of had near the jump he had, but that didn't factor in the play.
  3. 9 out of 10 coaches send that kid home with 2 outs no matter who is the next batter. No outs or 1 out a different story.
  4. Was thinking the same thing. I would imagine Reagen will get another shot tomorrow as well.
  5. I am beginning to think that Vincent Beck has some crazy winds at field level or something
  6. Good game. Congrats to BC on the win and can't wait for game 3. Any clue who BC will throw next?
  7. BC sure has scored a lot of 2 out runs.
  8. Wheller leads it off with a walk. Bradley strike out 1 down (3rd strikout for Meeks) Ellis flied out. Wheller steals 2nd Shellhammer strikes out. top of 5th BC 4-3
  9. Dishon flies out. Side retired 4 runs scored 3 earned. 4-3 bottom 4th.
  10. Basehit scores 2 runs on a hit. Error on run down allows 3rd run to score. 4-3 BC.
  11. Dillon hits a hard shot deep to 3rd and there is no play. Run scores. 3-1 Bolton up.
  12. Jackson leads of the 4th for the Cards he hits a high fly ball for the first out. He sure swings hard. Stringer up and grounds out to 1st. Ellis hits another batter. (hit 3 in an inning against Bellville) He is almost sidearm and does that a lot it seems. Wild pitch moves runner up. Warner walks 2 on and 2 out Robinson up (one of the two fine freshman ballplayers for BC along with the freshman shortstop Hicks) Robinson gets a basehit off the pitchers arm or hand. Baseloaded for Dillon.
  13. Left fielder drops a Parson fly ball, but is able to get the force out at 3rd fortunately for him. That will count as an error. Fly out for 3rd out. End of inning 3-0 all runs earned even though there were 2 errors.
  14. Basehit by Reagen. Hart scores 3-0 Hart's run is earned. 1 out still.

  17. Hart base hit. Jasper 2-0 Bronson up.
  18. Balk moves runners to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.
  19. Ellis flied out to left field Shellhammer walks Top of the order Taylor Hart up with 2 on and 1 out.
  20. Dogs first baserunner is a leadoff walk.
  21. walk, fly out, hit batter, K, and fly out for the Cards. This game sounds like what we all expected last night. Go figure.
  22. He doesn't strike out often. Quick 1st inning.
  23. Jasper has great talent as well and hasn't made it to Austin since the mid 80s. Not like there is only one great team out there every year loaded with talent. How many state championships have PNG and Nederland won with all that talent they have had come through in the last decade?
  24. I was just a few seats behind homeplate and it look like the collision was almost head on. Maybe a few inches to the left. He clearly looked out to me at the time. I can't see an umpire anywhere not calling him out in a collision like that. As a matter of fact haven been an umpire myself and watching many years of baseball I have never seen a massive collision like that where he wasn't called out if the catcher held on to the ball. Would love to watch the video and see what I might have missed. Can you put it on youtube for us all to see?
