Jasper actually started the pitcher in game 1 against Robinson. Jasper gave him a pretty quick hook here. Looks like he might want to use him again saturday in relief maybe.

Another homer for Salado. 6-1 Jasper will get run ruled here by the sound of it Jasper is saving top two pitchers for Sarurday. Interesting strategy makes you wonder if they might not pull their pitcher to save him as well.

Sounds about right....Very talented group. I felt they would make it this far..just not this year already. Proud for those ladies and Coach Slack.

Middlebrook did pitch in the semis. Zach Fowler, who also was drafted after college, pitched against Jasper. Zach was the MVP of the State Tournament the year before, and was 11-0 at that point in the season--I think it was. If memory serves me correctly, his dad was LE coach's at the time. I also saw where Zach is now the head coach at LE. I remember watching Will warm up before the game and was very glad he had pitched the day before..man he could bring it. That was a special group Jasper had. I think they hit the ball through their line-up about as good as any team I have witnessed. This current group is up there as well. Good luck Dogs. Hoping to make the Saturday game(s).

These were two very good teams. The 3 Each team had 3 or 4 excellent pitchers. The difference was jasper’s hitters. They hit from 1-9. A few errors here and there by both teams, but fun games . Salado looks like another powerhouse. They get no easier from here

Escalante just missed 1 in the preceding game that would have tied it up, with a drive against the wall. This is a big yard he just drove it out.

6-0 middle of third Dogs with 9 hits through 3 on a good throwing Lefty.

Robinson won game two 4-0 Liberty won game three to advance by a score of 5-1!! Way to go Lady Panthers.

I would say Michael Carter and Ychlindria Spears should be on any list of the greatest ever from Texas. IMO, the best male athlete from SE Texas of all-time is Jamaal Charles or maybe even Earl Thomas. (Talking about Babe Zeharias is like talking about Babe Ruth just really no comparison fits.)

Tarkington has some good young talent. Probably a year or two away from being at their best. Lost good pitcher/hitter (Panola signee) to Tommy John. Always well coached. They are outgunned, but will play good fundamental baseball.

About what I expected out of these two rivals.
