  1. Duh. Take a all-state caliber player off of any team and watch them suffer.
  2. I can't imagine a PNG fan not giving Nederland their due respect This should make for a good game again this year. I have a feeling that PNG will need to beat Nederland to have a shot at a playoff spot.
  3. Probably so, but not his dad..that much I know.
  4. Our prayers are with his family. I never thought about whether he was related to the weatherspoons of pineland. How was he related to Teresa Weatherspoon?
  5. Very sad news. Will pray for his family. I enjoyed being around Coach Spoon when was in athletics. He was a nice guy and a great coach.
  6. I'd say Burkeville has had their fair share of success. Unfortunately, this just isn't their year it appears.

  8. Yeah more people will be convinced after this week when we lose to a 2A team also. I hope everyone in the district assumes Jasper is out of the race.
  9. Nothing uncommon to see starters stay in until the 4th quarter. Glad he got the yards. I wouldn't surprise me if he got 2500 yards this year including the playoffs games.
  10. Good write up. Coaches both seemed upbeat and gave due respect to the other team.
  11. all the 3 tds nonsense was way off..they won by two TDs, a FG and safety :!:
  12. making it 3 rounds into the playoffs three years in a row shouldn't be a surprise team, but I agree I think kibryville is being giving very little consideration in this new district by most of this board so far.
  13. Lufkin Hudson looks pretty tough this year. They won the Lumberjack relays in both the 4a/5a side and 3a and under side. Their average time for the 4a/5a race was 17:34. However, they didn't have anyone under 17 minutes.

I know BC had one running he ran with the larger schools and would have finished first if he had ran with 3A and under group.
  15. Boy those two teams go way back. I remember when Alto just simply couldn't beat Groveton in the playoffs.
  16. I don't know about that. We went to the state finals with him and got bounced by BC without him. Granted we didn't play very well in the first couple of games last year before the storm, but at least managed to beat PNG. Still haven't figured out what happened to Scott last year against BC.
