  1. Long was a qb and Sullivan was just a great athlete. Sullivan would have been all state at whatever position he played.....qb and punter were the two that we got to see him do the most.
  2. How bout those rockanoos...two quality teams they blanked.
  3. Both will make the playoffs IMO, but if I had to choose one I would choose Dayton.
  4. BH is loaded with talented athletes again this year. WO-S has as many D-I players now as they have had in a while so they will be very good (especially as the new offensive scheme gels). With this being the first game for both teams new QBs I expect the offenses will probably struggle. BH will have to run the ball to be successful and that usually isn't very easy against WO-S. WO-S should be able to make some big plays with their talent, but BH will have their typical solid defense. Wish it was a real game instead of a scrimmage, but I expect it will be a good gauge for both teams.
  5. Getting kicked out of the game will negate any positives he had in this game. UT will get his mental game where it needs to be though.
  6. I would agree with Kirbyville being a long shot, but they have been fielded some good teams the last few years. Their skill players have been as good as most but seem to lack in size. Will be a great job by all if Kirbyville can make it to the playoffs this year.
  7. BH has had streches where they were greatly respected as a state power just as WO-S has had. Both have 2 state championships with neither winning in over 15 years. WO-S has had one good season in the last several, but BH pretty much goes undefeated every year until the playoffs. WO-S does have the most clout statewide but I think it is because their dominance was in the nearer past than BH. But I would say WO-S has more consistently been a force than BH in football. BH is simply good at every single thing they compete in from basketweaving to One Act to football to basketball. They start a girl's volleyball team and 3 years later are playing in the finals. WO-S has been good at basketball, baseball, and track. WO-S gets the nod for best tradition in football, but across the board BH has the better tradition in all of their sports.

  9. I think much better on offense next year. QB and RB will be a great combo for them, but losing the cog in the middle of your defense would lead me to believe that they will be easier to move the ball on next year. I could be wrong.
  10. Jasper disappointed last year. Lost several good players but are bringing back a very good O-Line and some skill players. I say they will improve as the year moves forward, but will be forunate to make the playoffs in this tough district.
