  1. We as fans of Kirbyville and Newton can talk about each other, but don't much like other people talking about either one of us. I think Kirbyville will tend to business. They may not have a state championship trophy, but they definitely have a winning program that is capable of beating anyone in the state, including Arp, like last year. Just stand in line and wait your turn uknowit2. They'll get to you.
  2. Kirbyville should take this one, but don't discount Corrigan too much. They have atheletes and a history to go with them. From this point on it's all about peaking at the right time. Kirbyville needs to go and play hard towards this goal. Getting better each and every week. Kirbyville should win by two touchdowns if they tend to business this way. Then march towards a state championship week by week. Take it to 'em cats! Also congrats to Bubba Bean on his election to high school hall of fame. I cheered loudly Friday night for him at half time. Great player that I had the honor of playing against, and losing to.
  3. Aww gee, I really am sorry that I have posted all those lies about Kirbyville and made up all those things about Newton. You have really made me see the light. I forgot that Kirbyville invented winning football, and know all there is to possibly know about what it takes to have a winning program. And the fact your calling me(again name caller) a sore loser you obviously don't know anything about me(again a big surprise).

Kirbyville won and Newton lost. rykerx144 is notorious as a name caller as he looks down from his perch upon all the commoners.

If you would learn to use spell check it might help in getting your point across without name calling. You mistakenly believe this somehow "puts one in their place". I agree with old wildcat there were no losers in this game.
  5. No we didn't as you know. And you see what happened. I hope Bennett is not injured for life but we will really miss him in the playoffs. My concern all along. Kirbyville won. I still wonder where ya'll put those state championship trophies ya'll haven't won. You can crow about beating Newton all you want, you still have nothing but a local award. Good luck in the playoffs and maybe you can win the big one this year.

Why would we have our "heads hung low". This game changes nothing. Kirbyville seems to need this win to validate their season. Newton doesn't. Kirbyville fans remind me of Aggies. Aggies want University of Texas to be their big rival, but ask any UT alum who they hate most and it ain't the Aggies, it's Oklahoma. I would rather beat Marlin any day than Kirbyville. I think this has to do with playoff experience. This is going to get me smited, but Kirbyville is still new to the playoffs. Give them another 10 years of going to the playoffs and they might understand.

In All My Years Which Is About 50 As A Wildcat Fan,I Have Never Heard As Many Newton Fans,(including the coach) That Said A Game Between Kirbyville And Newton Especially For District Champion-ship Don't Mean Or Prove Anything..I'm Sorry If I've Mis-Understood Football All These Years..I Thought The Object Of Football Was To Win Locally In Your District,Then Prove You Deserve to Be Where Your'e At By Winning At The Higest Level Of Competition,Don't Mean To Be Smart-Alecky About What I'm Saying,It's Just Out Of Character For Newton Fans..Good Luck At The Game Tonight....

Times change my friend. When everything about the playoffs rested on being District Champions, it was all about being District Champion. These days it's not. If you don't understand this logic, I'm sorry. Just because you want it to be the old way, don't make it so.

Both teams have quality written all over them. Each has a very strong running game and can throw the ball as well. I think Newton's experienced QB Flanagan has the edge and will make the difference in Newton scoring points. Kirbyville probably gets the nod in overall defense, but can't stop Newton's offense enough. It will be a score fest and Newton wins.
    Newton 38
    Kirbyville 34

Good post ChampionEagle, but I can't see Newton putting that many points up on our defense. We know Newton have a explosive offense with speedy #11 in the backfield, but Kirbyville defense in my opinion is more stout than last year especially up front.

That's good that you think K-vill's D is better. I think our offense is better, expecially at QB. Flanagan's experience shows. Good luck. I still don't think a win or loss is going to make or break either team. It's playoff time.
