Does this win give guarantee the Panthers a playoff birth? Judging by the standings on this website Anahuac is in. -
Coach Of The Year Up To This Point?

Coach Broomas in Anahuac. They are in position to make the playoffs for the first time in a few years when nobody expected them to do anything. -

If you look at that, alone, one could assume that it would be a good game.
They also played EC at H-J and won by 17.
I saw that as well....it's very safe to say this should be a close game based on commom opponents = simple math x AP ;) Was good to see you buddy, hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
It was nice seeing y'all as well. I think Anahuac has the opportunity to succeed against Sabine. One thing Anahuac has going for them now is that they believe in what they are doing. It has been a very long time since that has happened for the entire school. They deserve it, and I think the athletes in Anahuac will ride it for a while. Congratulations to the coaching staff for doing a tremendous job and keep up the GREAT work. A regional championship would be nice.
Ok well I think the Eagles are the better team and will take this one, maybe even win it big.
That must be a hard pill to swallow.

Anahuac 69, Woodville 49 - F

47-29 End of 3rd period-Anahuac. -
Kountze's freshmen class is legitimate. Their class in 8th grade is good as well. They will be fine for some years to come. Not to mention the fact that they know how to play basketball. The team that will see a downfall will be New Waverly.

Anahuac 70, @ East Chambers 59

I think they would be able to make it out of the first round. 24-AA consists of those charter schools in Houston. I don't believe they fared well in the play-offs last year. I may be wrong though. -
Pilot Point will win come Saturday. Kirbyville has completely lost focus (it is evident as you read all of the posts on this forum.) Final score: Kirbyville 14 Pilot Point 21.
TASO's lawsuit will destroy the UIL...I'll say it here right now....TASO has decided that since they can't get what they want, they'll just bring the UIL to it's knees and to heck with the kids of Texas.....THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THIS LAWSUIT IS ALLOWED TO GO ON....TASO hasn't looked at the unintended consequences of their actions....TASO is going to look very bad when this all pans out and that shyster lawyer they hired will laugh all the way to the bank.....
The members of TASO who "donate" their time need a little compensation for their troubles. This is all based on financial exigencies of the various school districts in the state of Texas. They complained to the state about spending money on officials, and this is the UIL's way of accommodating the school districts. They are requiring all officials to register with the UIL for the set fees that have already been determined (fees lower than TASO's rates.) This way the districts do not spend as much money. I have personally heard from many officials from various sports state the end of their officiating career rests on this issue. These people do not intend on "spending" money when they work these games: Many would like to break even, and the UIL rates will not allow them to do so. Also, TASO has operated regionally as far as the distribution of officials is concerned. Under the UIL, these guys would have to travel further than before because it looks like a rational fit on a computer screen. As far as the UIL is concerned, Colmesneil is not on the top of the list of priorities they have. Under the UIL, many subvarsity games will be called by the coaches from the participating schools, and I do not think the UIL will care about the plight of small schools. I have had the pleasure of watching many junior high games this year that had to be called by either the coaches or even parents out of the stands. Now, you tell me if that is fair to the kids...I don't believe so. On a final note...think about the Declaration of Independence and Constitution of the United States... The UIL is considered a "governing body" of athletic/academic competition in the state of Texas. What regulation is there for this "governing body." As far as I know, they can pretty much do anything they wish with the blessings of superintendents (the people that are the most disconnected with the entire process.) What can WE do about it? File an appeal? Maybe WE should do something about the tyranny. I applaud TASO.

I've had the opportunity to see Cinco Ranch play College Park. They managed to come back and beat CP after being down by two scores late in that game. They are solid but nothing spectacular. I didn't think their game with Katy would have been that close, but you never know with those rivalry games. I have not had an opportunity to see WB, but I've seen they have fared well. With that being said...Cinco Ranch 35 Westbrook 38.

we ran what seemed to be only five or six different plays all night over and over. anahuac doesn't have the speed we have either if they did it would have been closer. great game panthers, maybe next time. ;)
exactly. didn't wanna show their hand and give that scout in maroon too much to write about. this game worked out perfectly for kirbyville.
Nice try...any true fan of football and not pulling for either team tonight knows we stuffed y'all fairly well. Barring a blown coverage and a mallard duck thrown by our receiver, this game ends 14-6. I know, you made it to 28 - woohoo. Lastly, don't bring up play calling, because your 5-6 plays bested our 2-3 plays, so don't give me the maroon scout in the stands garbage.
Anafanatic..you have no respect for our boys! Your team just got beat fair and square and you want to say its because your offense was no good...I believe the correct response would be that our defense was BETTER!!! I gave props to your "d" the least you could do is the same!!! quit whinning and eat your crow...here it is on a silver platter!
Actually, he has a lot of respect for Kirbyville. He said he would root for Kirbyville if they beat Anahuac; throughout the rest of the playoffs. Where is the need for the continuous censored-talking? Kirbyville fans wonder why they catch a lot of grief. They bring it upon themselves. heck, it does not require a rocket scientist to say that Kirbyville is a good team (much better than I thought they would be at the beginning of the year.) But 22-AA needs a confidence booster or something else. Arp will bring a good game next week. Anahuac, according to Kirbyville posters, had no business playing Kirbyville. heck, they should have conceded the game prior to kickoff. Anahuac played a good defensive game against Kirbyville. . Muleshoe, why did you not lay it down December 20, 2008 (approx.) It would have saved the SETX SPORTS server and the provider a lot of money and US a lot of headaches.
We all seem to forget that 22AA is God's gift to Texas HS Football. EagleFan01...while EC didn't beat your team, they basically played with you for 3 qtrs, only the 3rd qtr is where they seemed to let a few big plays happen - but it was 12-7 @ the break...with that being said, Woodville while fast will have to deal with the Bucs ball control strategy & stout D, and it will get the better of them. Bouillon, Jones & Co. too much for these Eagles!
Let's go Bucs. I like this site and I'm tired of reading 22-AA this and 22-AA that. It would be nice to see something different.
