1. No i'm not kidding..You got one on the DL that will get after it and the safety will knock you in the mouth..LB's prolly couldn't start on any other team in our district...
2. Crosby will have to score 40 to win.....In fact i believe we will have to score 40 in every game we play to win and hope we have the ball last.....Our D wouldn't bust a biscuit....
3. Dayton....Digg's weakness is passing and from what i hear that is Dayton's on defense..So Dayton's front 7 will control the game..Sure wish it was on Saturday night.....
4. Dobbins is the real deal, but i think all the RB's we play against will be the real deal against our LB's..Hard to believe he has no D1 offers??Reminds me of Sproyles that plays for the S.D. Chargers... Everyone keeps saying our D with 7 starters back is the real deal..I have been telling everyone when you have 7 starters back that gave up an average of 300-400 a game is not all that great..Last year  was one of those years where the opponent would give you 4-5 turnovers a game and how often does that happen??????
5. All the pressure is on Dayton this year as in all the past few years and the next 2 years..There is no other team in 19-4A that has the talent like Dayton..According to Dayton fans yaw have it all wrapped up for years to come..Your Frosh team is top in State,8th grade team has 3 D1 kids that could start on any Varsity team and so on...With the talent pool in Dayton,I could coach them to a district championship..Its very simple if you have the talent you win... Crosby chances depend on the OL and keeping QB healthy..QB did not run at all in Texas City Scrimmage and believe it will be like last year where QB does not run much until district starts..Crosby defense is very small only 2 kids over 6'...and LB's are under 175#..Don't think can have another year where the D get 3 or 4 turnovers every game...
6. Well here at Crosby we start the year off at home against them..Find out real fast what kind of team we both have..There RB was the best we played against all year and he is back...
7. Crosby returning lineup???? They only return 4 on offense and 7 on defense which none were all district on defense, maybe one..I believe it will be a down year for the defense, loosing Judy at mlb is going to really hurt..The offense is going to have to score a lot of points for Crosby to win this year..Seems like the D was getting 3 or 4 turnovers every game in district but was giving up 300+ yards every game....
8. He has been the kicker at Crosby for last 2 years..but did not even make all district..This is a problem i have with all these top 100 and so on list...A lot are based on how well you do at camps put on by Rivals,Nike,Scout and so on...I have heard he does real well at kicking camps and FNF is basically a rivals magazine..Its like some of the kids went up on there ratings because they performed well at 7 on 7 ...Now thats nothing but touch football....In one of the magazines it list top 20 QB's in Texas and 11 of them still do not have an offer, but they all spent the 500.00 to have Randy Rogers promote your son...The college coaches laugh at all these ratings we are in awe over.....
9. Crosby will win it, if they can find some receivers with hands..Maybe we will get a transfer from Dayton due to academics.....

12. The D-1 schools now enroll there kids in the 1st summer session of school..Most D-1 kids leave after graduation to attend there university...Read an article about the Texas High School Coaches Association complaining about the problems of putting together top all star teams in Texas due to D-1 kids being already enrolled in summer school classes...
13. Barbers Hill has at least 22,just ask the parents on the Hill..................
14. I guess we might as well give the district title to Dayton...Here at Crosby we have only 4 starters back on offense and 3 on defense..After reading about Dayton, sounds like they could be number 1 in the nation...
15. From what i saw last year your freshman QB is scared to take hits..He is great when its playing 7 on 7..Don't think he will be a factor unless he is playing behind a line with 3 or 4 d1 kids..
16. The one that was in ISS was not in there for dipping..It was for stronger stuff...
17. Langley was suppose to be in ISS for rest of year..Daddy went to school board and got him out in time to play ball.Believe he missed one season in past also for bad habits...
18. bh89-2..You must not know Coach [email protected] as laid back as you can get and the last thing he will ever do is run his mouth....
19. No way i would live in BH...I'm to old school...If my kid has no talent,I'm not going to be up there trying to run off the coach because i sent him to camp all summer and now he should be a D1 kid...HAHA..Live in Crosby...Just a little history note to the post about Baytown Lee back in the 50's..Back then Cedar Bayou was a school district separate from Baytown..Cedar Bayou was a powerhouse in 1A.For football reasons Baytown took over Cedar Bayou and this help create Baytown Lee's glory years of football in the 50's...
20. The last good football teams in Baytown were in the 1950's..Lee lost in the State Championship game in 1951 and 1952 both times to Lubbock..I believe in 54 and 55 they lost in the semi-final..So i would say Baytown has had nothing to brag about since the mid-50's....
21.

How much patience will you eagles have with your new coach?  Are four or more district losses acceptable this coming season? (it's likely) How about beating dayton once a decade like crosby? It sounds like the guy will be able to install a good program, I'm curious to see how long he has before the complaints start rolling down the hill.
For me Coach Gage gets a two year bye with no expectations ;D Year three and beyond Playoffs with wins!!!! I have no doubt that Coach Gage can get BH back on track!!! With the experiance that this man brings to BH football along with the current talent comming up and the constant growth in the school district I can't see how this will go wrong!!
I can't believe you are going to let the highest paid coach in the district go 2 years without making the playoffs and not complain..What did you run Price out of town for??Is the talent that bad over there on the Hill and i have seen yaw's super 9th grade team and was not impressed......
22. Langley not on team this year...Couldn't give up one of his bad habits....
23. Brenham should have easy time with all the D-1 kids on there roster this year..Believe they should be one of the top 3 teams in state this year..Where do yaw keep getting all these kids every year...We(crosby) start the year out against Montgomery so i'll be able to let you know about them..we barely beat them in playoffs last year and they got that little rb back this year...would like to meet up with yaw in playoffs again..We owe you one.....
24. Thanks to all...A great crowd that was larger than our yearly Czech Fest..Sold out of BBQ about 7:30 and still had a crowd there at 1am..Did not plan on this kind of turnout..Heard rumor someone from Dayton bought a signed Crosby district champ football for 2,000..I bet this ends up in Dayton locker room the week of Crosby game..Thanks again....
