History of this series: This is the 13th game with Orangefield leading the series 11-1. The last year these two played was 1993 with OF winning 48-22.
-
Orangefield hasn't been the same team since Gonzales went down. The sophomore is doing a good job, just needs varsity game experience. OF better come out with more intensity this week and on top of that it's homecoming. Loser of this game is probably out of the playoffs.

Orangefield should be pretty good this year. They have a lot coming back and are excited to play in a new district.

He's done had surgery yesterday. Torn ACL and PCL.

This is game number 40 in the series. Orangefield leads the series 21-18. Orangefield was very vanilla last week with the new QB. They need to open it up this week to have a chance.

Congrats on the W Coach Prouse and the Pirates!

Jeff Granger Orangefield QB - Parade All-American Senior year. 9-1 as a starter at A&M but had a concussion and decided to focus on baseball and gave up football. Senior year at Orangefield: Parade All-American in football (QB) and baseball (Pitcher). Still holds the state baseball record for consecutive games with a hit at 42. Was 3rd in the 400M at the state track meet. -

This is the 37th meeting between these two schools. Kirbyville leads the series 21-15. I'm interested to see how the Bobcats respond with their QB out for probably the remainder of the season.

This was a typical OF/Buna game. Both teams left it all on the field. Like good teams do, Buna took advantage of the opportunities. Connell was as good as advertised. OF didn't tackle him all night. Buna's defense impressed me. I think they held OF to less than 200 total yards. Didn't see that coming. Good luck Cougars the rest of the season! Saw the mom of the OF QB post on Facebook that the Dr thinks he tore is ACL and MCL. He's having an MRI next week. If this is the case that's a big loss, he's a huge part of the offense.

If I'm correct this will be the 59th meeting between the two schools. Orangefield leads the overall series 30-26-2. It should be the typical Bobcat/Cougar game. Both want to run the ball and control the clock. Whoever can control the line of scrimmage and not turn the ball over will win.
-
Orangefield and Shepherd look to me to be very similar. Shepherd has a couple good backs. Looks like they use dual QBs and both can run and throw it. I'm glad they moved the game to Splendora to play on turf since it might be raining. Might come down to who can hang on to the ball.
