Why should they post it when they have someone more than qualified already on staff!

Does not matter much now, a coach has been choosen just waiting on approval from the school board.

The fundraiser was a huge success again this year.  Some great items auctioned off and alot of money was raised.  Thanks to all the coaches including Cornell Thompson for coming out and showing their support. 

Johnny was the best QB in the spring game behind Tan.  He will be the QB after this season.

It's one of the best sports memorabilia auctions in Southeast Texas!  All proceeds go towards the scholarship fund that provides a $6,000 scholarship each to a male and female athlete from Orangefield.

Congrats on being named to the Big 12 All Freshman Team.

Congrats Coach Sutherland.  Best of luck to you except for Week 0 next season!  ;D

Has any district in this area had an increase in enrollment this year?  Orangefield has had a small but steady increase the past few years, but are down this year as well.

I have not heard this Kicker.  The last bond issue failed twice before it finally passed.  They had to keep cutting it back until it was almost half of what was originally planned.  If this is in the works, I think it would be hard to pass again.  I'm for it, but would be surprised if it did pass especially with the way things are right now.  As far as location, it would have to be somewhere esle, there is no room where the current schools are located.  Enrollment overall in the district is down, but with the new sewer system coming online now, look for more subdivisions to startup as well as apartments.  The district should grow over the next 10 years.
