Hey guys, I wanted to get your input on the poll we do for Girls Basketball. In the past we have had just one poll that included all classifications. Would you like to continue to see just one poll or would you like to see it broken out like our football poll? Ex. 5A/4A in one poll and 3A and under including private schools in another poll. Your thoughts?

Hey setxgal, it was nice meeting you at the Tarkington game. I always have extra tickets for home games, so you and that reporter guy can sit with us whenever. Now if he wears that shirt again I may make him pay for his seat or go to the pressbox.

True, it was not so much missed calls, but the officials losing track of who had the ball and blowing plays dead. Although, that did not win or lose the game. Orangefield's defense has to get better. If you like offense, then this was the game to see. Congrats to Newton on the win. That was a fun one to watch.

Very true Champion. Orangefield fans have rallied around this. I've have gone to Orangefield games for 30 years and I don't ever remember a bigger crowd at our stadium than what I witnessed last night. We had overflow crowd sitting on the visitors side. Never seen that before. I think we will bring a big crowd to Newton Friday.

To me the most exciting part of the game was the 45 yard field goal by Derrick Evans! I think you mean when they announced Homecoming Queen was the most exciting ;D You are so right Bobcat, that was the best part of the game. Tell Amiee congrats, she deserved it!

I'm not sure what the rest of the district has, but Deweyville will surprise a LOT of people this year. I had the chance to see them a couple of times a few months ago in a summer league and they are much improved. D'ville played way more aggressively than they have in the past and I'm assuming the new coach has instilled that. The guards were pretty good, but the most impressive play came from a big post player that I understand is young. (Sophomore, I think) Sorry, I have no name...I'm sure someone from D'ville can reply with this young ladies name. The only thing I didn't see is if this team can run. They played defense almost exclusively in a 2-3 which is almost unheard of in summer league ball. Good luck to Deweyville. I think Buna will be fine this year, they have a new coach whose young and gonna get them going this upcoming season Who is the coach at Buna?

Could not agree more Aggies. He already has made a big difference. He has the kids believing they can win every game. This has not been the case in OF the last few years. You've seen it when we played Silsbee. We were beat before the game even started.

We will have a preseason poll up when the season gets closer.

Same can be said for Orangefield!

I was hoping that we would have the new offense down by district but we appear to have gotten it down from the get go. In 3 games we have scored 16 touchdowns and 110 points! Our defense still needs a little work but overall I love where we are at. Yeah I think we scored a total of 89 points all of last season. We've already scored more than that in 2 1/2 games. I love the offense. I would like to see that 68 yard TD run by Derrick Evans against Liberty. All of Liberty's defense was going one way and by the time they figured out who had the ball, Derrick was 20 yards past them.

OF cannot be overconfident going into this game and I don't think Coach Huck will let them be. Homecoming is always a distraction as well. If we play the way we have the past couple of games, we will be ok.

So we're 2 games into the season with Silsbee blowing out a Houston Davis team with their starters pulled to start the 2nd half and then losing to a solid Diboll team. BC has played 2 winless squads....you're reaching. Anyone doubting Silsbee not being in top three is just plain silly but no need in banging BC for their progress. These kids have been through a pretty big ordeal here of late and are searching for a little respect. There will be some casualties along the way and hopefully we will be fortunate enough to represent our district no matter what the order is. Be careful who you peck on it just might draw blood. GO BIG RED! BC beating Silsbee would not be an upset it would just be another win. WOS is the King for now and that would be an upset. To earn respect you must give respect. You come on here and put down Orangefield, yet when someone says something negative about BC you get upset and say be careful who you peck on. You might want to take your on advice!! Not asking or begging for anything just being realistic about the district race. I believe we at BC earn our respect year in and year out and do it with class no matter what the sport. Orangefield is just not a factor this year. Like it or not, it is what it is. I am not bumping my gums because I know the kids and their talent. Most of them have been to my house and are very good friends of the family so be easy cowboy and moderate elsewhere. Oh so you can stand up for your team, but I can't!! Keep thinking OF will not be a factor in this district race, that's just how we want it!! And oh yeah, I'll moderate wherever I please!!
