First half was ugly. They played much better in the second half. I've followed Ang Green the past three years at Silsbee and she was always a great scorer, but after watching her yesterday she has really become a great overall player. McNeese's Shante Perry, who is from Cleveland by the way, came out and made two big three's in the first few minutes of the game. Coach Tidwell put Ang on her and she did not make another three the rest of the game. Ang's shot was not falling yesterday, but she made up for it with her defense. Great Job Ang!! I also thought Trashanna Smith played big yesterday too. She does not score alot, but she is after every loose ball and never stops hustling. Can't ask for more than that!! Good Luck the rest of the way ladies.

HF JV starts at 5:00..Well I hope you can find someone to stop the Wagner sisters ;D I thought there were 3 games tonight. Freshman 4:30, JV 6:00, and Varsity 7:30.... Does HF have three teams? I know OF only has a JV and Varsity so I would think there will be two games starting at 5 with the varsity starting around 6:30 or so.

I'll be the first to give WOS their props. They came out and played with alot of fire and intensity. They wanted this game more than OF and they almost took it. They are "much improved". I think our girls came out too overconfident and didn't take this game seriously. I'm hoping this game woke our girls up and they realize now that they can not take anyone lightly. They better wake up before Friday. HF is not an easy place to play.

Well do you think that if there was more media coverage for the girls, that it would bring more interest to the girls games. Just a thought!

I agree coach, but I will say we are very lucky in Orange County to have the Orange Leader and KOGT. For instance, KOGT is broadcasting our girls game tonight with WOS and the Orange Leader always has someone at every home game and some road games too. I do agree that the local news channels should do more for girls basketball, their coverage is horrible. It's all about the boys!!

You were close bleed, its Travessa Gant and yes she was very good, play on the Elite 8 Lamar team with Barbara Hickey. Also on that team was Ramona Jones who I think was from HJ.

I was on that Orangefield team that beat HF. We played at WOS. The next week we got killed by Halletsville. Guy hit a homerun from Halletsville that I dont think has hit the ground yet!!

Yeah these rankings have been hard to come up with this year. There is not one or two dominate teams in this area this year. I think 1-8 are very evenly matched.

I remember the OF/SLC game like it was yesterday. That was Jeff Granger's senior year. OF had the lead late in that game, but errors and baserunning mistakes killed us. I still think OF was the best 3A team at the state tournament that year.

I was over that way on Thanksgiving and rode by it. They still had a lot of work to do to the home side, but the turf is in and the visitor side looks complete, however the visitors stands looked small to me. It is going to be nice, much much better than what Huffman had before.

Orangefield should be more competitive next season. Most of the skill guys are back. Losing alot on defense to graduation. Should compete for a playoff spot in 21-3A.

Yes it does serve multiple TV's. You can get as many boxes as you need. You can lose the signal if it is raining real hard, but really I hardly ever lose the signal. Never lost a signal just because it's cloudy. I currently have Dish and love it. I've had Directv in the past, but I like Dish better. They are both really the same. I will never go back to cable.
