  1. I think Master T thinks this is the boys basketball forum. HJ and OF will battle for the top spot with Silsbee and HF battling for 3rd.
  2. Orangefield - 66 Huffman - 40
  3. Updated with Friday's games
  4. Oh... I'm sure they are very good. I'm not saying that at all. Gilmer is Gilmer. I just hope we get the chance to play them. We have a long way to go to even get that opportunity. I hear that, good luck. I'll be there supporting you guys!
  5. I've seen Gilmer play. They are big and fast. I think WOS is the better team, but don't count out the Buckeyes.
  6. Lets get it started. Post Tuesday scores here!!!
  7. Agreed! The fourth quarter it seemed like WOS ran the same exact play every play and we still could not stop it. Like someone else said on here what does WOS have to prove against OF. We don't have a history. I respect them and I think alot of WOS people respect us too. I know Hooks and Morrison are good friends and speak all the time.
  8. Livingston, Orangefield, Kountze, and Woodville are the only local teams ranked. Where is Hardin-Jefferson? ???

  11. HF and Silsbee make me nervous. This year is going to be even better than last year and I can NOT wait! ;D Unfortunately, the injury bug really got Hamshire-Fannett this year. Silsbee wins tonight and Hamshire-Fannett goes on the list to wait for next year. It is Wo-S, Silsbee and Hardin-Jefferson advancing for the 2008 season. I think tigersvoice thought this was the football forum!!
  12. One of the coldest games I can remember was the 1988 state championship between WOS and Paris at Kyle Field.
  13. Not sure about Jasper being the 5th best team in this region. They are getting better but not a top 10 team in this region yet.
  14. Stay tuned for the SETXsports Girls Preseason Basketball Rankings!
  15. What they accomplished that year was amazing. One of the greatest Texas HS football teams of all time.
  16. beeninnikes, you just have to give it time. When Orangefield made the playoffs in 2005 that was the first time in 30+ years. Orangefield is like every other community in that there will be more support when the program is consistantly winning and making the playoffs. That is why there is alot of support for the girls program. They have a tradition of winning and have been doing that for a long time now. The guys program is on the right track and Coach Wrinkle is doing a great job, but just give it time. I'm not trying to down the boys program, you know me better than that, but just look at the support they have been getting the last couple of seasons. There is more support for the guys right now than probably ever at Orangefield.
  17. Depends on what your definition of "great" is? Does "great" mean winning state championships or does "great" mean consistently going two or three rounds deep in the playoffs. Personally I think there are very few "great" girls basketball programs in the state (ex. Canyon I would consider great). There are some very good programs in this area that year end and year out can compete with anyone in the state.
  18. 1. Hardin Jefferson 2. Orangefield 3. Silsbee 4. Hamshire Fannett 5. Bridge City 6. West Orange Stark
  19. Daville was a good one!
  20. I think we are HF and Silsbee's homecoming too!!
  21. Does anyone know if this is Tarkington's homecoming?
  22. Believe it or not, but I don't think we have a Granger on the varsity roster this year. We have one on the coaching staff though!!
  23. I think Tarkington may have a leg up considering they were able to play last week and Orangefield has not played since the 6th. I will be happy just to see our kids take the field again.
