  1. Spin it how you want, but apparently his constituents though differently by a large margin. He didn't lose by a little, he got his butt kicked by almost 10 points....
  2. Massie just lost….. Trump still has a massive amount of power with his base. The media has been betting against Trump for a long time and losing
  3. A couple things we agree on - if I don't get deer sausage from my brother - it's always market basket Also, I've never been a big boudin fan, but someone had me try their smoked brisket boudin and it was AMAZING.
  4. That was a staple in my house growing up and currently. I add deer sausage:)
  5. I bet if you reread my response you will have no supporting responses from me that supports that accusation. All I've said is your original comment about taxes was inflated, and I didn't consider social security and Medicare as a tax, but a benefit. I also mentioned a way to avoid home and car insurance. I get cost of living and gas prices are high right now, as it has been for the last 5.5 years. While we are not in Utopia, I'm not eating beans and rice or diving into my savings or keeping balances on any credit card. So, I'm not to the doom and gloom yet.
  6. I never said that..... You never suggested a solution.....
  7. As for insurance, in Texas you can put up 55K and self insure for each vehicle. Once your house is paid off, you can not insure it. I just don't consider SS, Medicare, retirement/401 K taxes. Those are a benefit you will be receiving back. What would you consider to be fair taxes paid? The next question would be what services would you recommend cutting that was paid by the taxes you want to remove?
  8. Defend no - call out exaggerated figures..... YES Your post supports my point - HE makes 50K and pays 9.8-10K in taxes, not 17K. Social security and Medicaid is a benefit, so I'm not sure how you call that a tax. I do wish we could opt out of social security and those of us that have contributed for 44 years like myself could get it in one lump sum, and my kids could just not contribute....
  9. Seeing Cuban and Trump together yesterday on the drug program was wild.....
  10. I've never been a fan of copy/past or meme's - due to the fact they are normally wrong to make a point. If this imaginary person was single, his income percentage would be 22% - lets not forget the standard deduction. Maybe he was in a State that charged state income tax. The highest is California..... So, lets see how much income tax (federal and state) a single male that grossed $50,656 in California would pay. Federal estimate $4040 State: $1150 Combined - $5190 Take home: $45,466 Including Medicare and SS - closer to 9K -still way off from original post The copy/paste is WAY off......
  11. They didn’t care about teachers did they.🤔 Proposed Amendment No. 3: FAILED How it read on the ballot: Do you support an amendment to fund a $2,250 teacher pay raise and $1,125 support staff pay raise by utilizing the remaining savings from paying down the debt of the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana with monies from certain constitutional funds?
  12. This may benefit you [Hidden Content]
  13. Trump is weaponizing the Justice Department…..
  14. I have not watched SNL in a long time, but always thought it was funny.
  15. Amazon is basically the only mail I receive lol
