I guess you don't understand what full control means. The strait is still closed because he is negotiating, trying to get a peace deal. You can't be that ate up with Trump to not realize after hitting over 15,000 military and other targets, destroying their navy and air force, if we wanted, we could make a ghost town out of the strait and make it safe to go through. Your carrier comment is ridiculous because those vessels are not designed for close quarters.

It is going to be a complete circus if they get a majority of even one in the house....That would almost be worth it to see them try and get stuff to the Senate, only to fail.....

Update This is a non-issue pipe dream. Not only would they need 3/4 votes in both chambers, the VP would have to agree......

Pres. Trump declared a cease fire for 2 weeks on the condition that Iran open the Strait. It looks like in less than 24 hour Iran has not met the condition and it did not honor the ceasefire yesterday when it launched missile and drone attacks around the Middle East. Pres. Trump has them back in a condition of not knowing when or what he might opt to do next because the two week window is now inoperative whether they realize it or not. US, Israel and the Gulf States are collecting signals and human intelligence that will inform what needs to be done next. There is a 30 day withdrawal period if congress does not approve. So, he could drag this out 90 days. He could also say - ok - and let Israel take over and support them. Personally I think he wants this done and over so he can claim victory and work on Mid-Terms. If Democrats get a good majority in house, we are going to have a repeat of the 2016 impeachment circus

I still believe we don't know what we don't know. If anyone was expecting Iranian leadership to come out waiving a white flag, they were very wrong. We can easily go back to bombing them into a crater. That was never the goal. The main goal past all the other noise was for Iran not to have a nuclear weapon. Trump would rather a peace deal. Our Government is not telling us all the details and they shouldn't. As far as the bombing, all they have is the equivalent of the Pony Express as far as communication. It may take a few days to get the cease fire information to the front line.

Me either, but it may give Iran leadership a chance to see sunlight, maybe stretch their legs…. OR Maybe this is a intelligence mission and we are hoping the leadership comes to the surface so we see where they are hiding…so if they break the cease fire we will hit them harder…. It does give us a change to resupply and reload…..and give our soldiers a little break.
