  I never thought we would agree on so many things.....   It really does not affect me if two men get married. So, I have no issue with that. I do think out of tradition it should be called a union and not marriage.   I'm with PAMFAM on the abortion issue.....there are too many variables for me to decide. I'm against in some cases, but for in others.   I'm pro death penalty on certain crimes but I'm against some of the penalties for drug users.   I believe religion should be able to be shared on signs and in public places. I also believe non-religious signs should be able to be displayed in the same public places. I believe in freedom to believe or NOT to believe......   I want to remain a FREE country

It appears that way. Unfortunately this is a private site and freedom of speech is not a right on this site.   If someone complains or get's offended....or a moderator just personally disagrees with a post, he can delete it. They can also delete the entire thread, which is apparently what happened here.   I did read Bamakids post and it was all truth.....and some people can't handle the truth......which is a BIG part of the problem.

I agree with PamFam......   Crime rates continue to decrease   If you think we are loosing our values, how do you explain Slavery?   I do think we have an attack on freedom of religion....

  I agree with that.   Nothing worth getting is usually easy though. Times are getting better! Instead of complaining about the past (that we cannot fix no matter how much we would like to), we need to focus on the future.   And thank you PAMFAM for being able to have a calm and real discussion!

  I actually think SHE is a better example......   In one post she speaks of blacks not being on a level playing field because of slavery......   In another post SHE brags about having 2 degrees and a good paying job.....   So, by posting those two things she gets to brag about how SHE went against ALL ODD's and beat the system! In other words....look at me.....look at me....   Personally, I would use Obama as a better example than Dr. Carson.  I mean, the odds of becoming President are 1 in 10 million......

So, what is the answer? Biggirl brags about her education and how many degree's and what a good job she has. Then she makes excuses about slavery and not being on an even playing field with the white man. If she admitted it could be done with just hard work and dedication, she couldn't use that bag of excuses she keeps with her..... so I say again......Asians and Hispanics as a group are good role models for hard work and dedication..... I stand by my statement and can prove it with data....Asians on welfare.....3.3%, Hispanics.....15.7%. My neighbor who used to own the Golden Dragon(7 years ago) worked 14-16 hours a day, 7 days a week. He was from China, his work ethic(and his wives) was better than ANYONE I know....including myself. When I worked construction, the Hispanic workers out worked 90% of the people around them. I guess your to worried about how unfair everyone is, you can't see yourself getting out performed.....

Asians ans hispanics come over with nothing and work HARD......that may be a good business model for some to look at.....hard work

I remember my cousin being chased up a tree with my grandma following her.....She wouldn't come down, so my Gandma went and got a lawn chair and waited for her :D

  I agree 100%. They have to be careful, the state pays them per student as well as attendance. They are going to have to figure out the cost of the program, and the cost of losing students to other districts if the programs are ended.

  But it had nothing to do with Bush, state level response was the blame.....   and most who stayed did so because they wanted to.......and when you make those type of decisions,  sometimes they don't go your way.....I would have stayed for RITA had it not been for my 11 YO Son......got to use the brain sometimes....
