If this forum continues to go down the path that it is currently on, this forum will no longer exist on this website. It's your choice to make. You have been warned.
Where have the moderators been?  This should have been caught WAY earlier than now....... How about warning or banning the offenders instead of a blanket warning for everyone........Just sayin......You can find bashing in all 13 pages.
 2.

To all contributors: I just spent a while reading the posts on this site.  While I see a lot of healthy collaboration and information sharing on this site, I also see the dark side of youth sports.  Let me share one of my favorite sayings in the WBBIFL: In youth football, we have to deal with a lot of immaturity and childish behavior, and sometimes the kids act up as well.  This site really makes that obvious.  This season, despite my efforts to make Beaumont the model of integrity, I have had to deal with angry board members (from my own board and the STJFL), and angry parents as a result of my commitment to, and determination to uphold, the rules and bylaws of the STJFL.  Don't get me wrong; I absolutely agree with the rules of the STJFL and the spirit of the organization.  My kid is out there.  I want him protected, and I feel like the STJFL does the best job of that out of any youth sports organization I have ever been affiliated with.  But, protection should go beyond freedom from physical harm.  Protection should also cover the feelings of the players, their parents, and the coaches.  This week, I have seen physical protection upheld, but I have seen a multitude of feelings hurt. By people talking without realizing who is listening. By people making posts on this site that seem to promote a personal agenda while making inaccurate statements or accusations.  By fathers having difficult conversations with their sons.  It makes me sad to see something that I love tarnished by such ugliness.  And we “adults” are completely to blame.  There are no kids posting on this website.  There are no kids in the stands bad-mouthing the coaches that sacrifice their time to make youth sports possible.  There are no kids plotting new and creative ways to circumvent the rules for their own benefit.  The kids don’t feel persecuted; they just want to play.  And we screw that up by running our mouths.  I challenge everyone to use this site for good, not evil.  If everyone can’t do that, well, this is America and we are absolutely guaranteed our right to free speech, so I (and everyone else) can just get over it.  But, if you are a member of the Beaumont association, I beg you, please rise above.  There is nothing to be gained by talking smack on this site, and there is much to lose, starting with your own dignity, and then the reputation of our league.  Please don’t ruin this thing we have all worked so hard to make great.  Actions speak louder than words.  Show everyone what you can do on the field, not in front of your computer. For the kids, Keith Davis President WBBIFL
I agree with half of your statement, what I dont agree with is DADDY BALL. Its everywhere, you have the same kids playing O & D the entire game. 1 kid makes a error, he sits and then the following games that same kid plays his mandatory 10 plays and sits the rest of the game. While the others that play the entire game make errors dont sit the entire game. Some of these kids are old enough to see that and have feelings too. That is another reason why kids dont want to continue playing or dont make an effort to play, they sit an entire quarter of a gmae go in with 00:12 left for 1 play  then sit the enitre next quarter. This might open another can of worms but its true talk. We adults may get on here and talk smack, but the kids have the feelings on the field or sidelines.
I have seen this in select baseball as well.  ::)  A coaches kid plays all the time while other better kids sit the bench. That is DADDY BALL as well.....It's part of life that we will never change. If a kids parent is the manager or coach, there will be some form of daddy ball.  Some Dads can handle it, others not so much.  The best thing you can do is explain to your kid that life is not always fair, there are good coaches and bad coaches, and to live and learn.  What does not kill you makes you stronger.

 8.
I think aaalllloootttt of people on this board takes YOUTH football waayyyy to seriously. I mean really their what 7 to 12 years old. But on another note can someone from lumberton or anywhere tell me what happens to yalls football program once they get into school ball. I mean yall have had a very very successful youth football program for years competeing every year with everyone. Is it just me or does it all just seem to go away come school ball. I know yall have alot of talent in your town. I am saying all of this in the most respectful way.
Great question........I have NEVER seen a Jr. high or High School coach at any youth football practice......and this is my 7th year in youth (and sadly last)....... Wish I would see more involvement.....
 9.
Yes by 1 pt. But don't think it will happen again. Also, believe I heard Lum B didn't have all players but even if they did they will come out on top this time.
They may, but hopefully we will find that answer at the super bowl.....
 10.
I'm going with Lum Blue
You realize Lumberton W beat them? :)
 11.
I see PNG W and Lumberton B making it. PNG W will win it! After playing Lumberton B once already we will make adjustments and stop them. If you have watched them this year (and I have several times) not in any of those games have they made any adjustments on Offense run same plays over and over. With that being said, I think, that will hurt them come playoffs. Their offense is PLANE, and oh yeah, they have no SPEED! 12.
Seems pretty crazy to me. The whole dividing them into small school and large school I don't understand either. If the total number of players is the same for all teams what is the point.
My question to you is what does it hurt? If this is truly about the kids, it lets two teams win a super bowl and get a trophy......and I see nothing wrong with that!

 16.
First of all, none of these guys should be referred to as coaches.  Coaches coach on Thursday night, Friday night, or on TV on Saturday and Sunday.  They should be referred to as instructors at best, even wanna-be would be a better description.  If you constantly run your mouth every Saturday on the sidelines, run up the scores on a bunch of KIDS, pound your chest at work and tell your co-workers how great of a "coach" you are, and allow every jack@$$ parent on the sidelines to do the same, then you are asking for someone to exact revenge.  Is it right? NO.  But, there is nobody else to blame but these wanna-be's themselves.  You can't help but to feel sorry for their own kids as well.  Imagine what they deal with at home.  Did I also hear that some of these "coaches" were suspended for a few game?  Really? In Junior league football?  And your supposed to be in it to help the kids and teach them football?  Great job men!!!! You are great role models and should be very proud.  Hopefully the guys who run this league will wisen up and prohibit them from coaching further teams.
I'm sure there will be some "instructor" positions open next year......
 17.
0-7 by now. But I’m sure Lumberton will let you ride on their short bus to the games and you can bring them high quality h2o when they get thirsty. I am a fan of youth football, but to be the biggest fan for another squad and the biggest hater for another really is breaking to many man laws for me. Maybe they will let you work your way up from the flag division in Lumberton. Lol Good luck in the Playoffs Kountze.
I see nothing wrong with two cities being friends.....you should try it
 18.
That really makes me sad for you. I am so thankful my 8 year old son can't read the bashing his Pee Wee team gets on this board every week so to imagine that you are seeing it on Facebook and hearing it at your game really breaks my heart for you. Stay proud and try to let it roll off your back.
youthinkyouknow......your one of the ones that do the bashing..........Is this not your reply to a post from the peewee thread?

Thank you for confirming the "handpick" speculation.  "Same group together since flag with the same coach", that about sums it up.  When an expansion team is formed, you can only protect 33% (5 players) of the players on existing teams, the rest should have been available for drafting to the expansion team.  Coaches kids need to be in the 33% of the protected kids.  Read the rules and give up the name calling...
You are so dense... We have never had an expansion team. We had 2 teams last year and 2 teams this year so again the 13 that returned from last year all "return to the team from the previous season". You need to read the rules. The expansion rules do not apply since we did not have an expansion team. ARTICLE XII: DRAFTING OF TEAMS SECTION 1: 1        Players shall return to the team from the previous season if they qualify for the same division.
or this one........ quote author=youthinkyouknow link=topic=104629.msg1299949#msg1299949 date=1350173084]
Is Ned w known to chop block this season??? How many injuries due to chop blocking and how many not? Guys and gals...I surely hope we don't have coaches teaching this kind of football!! Why on Earth are those boys performing these kinds of blocks??? Isn't a chop block the most dangerous block out there? Illegal!!! But we have 7,8 and 9 year olds demonstrating their "skills" today in STJFL?????
Chop blocking is taught, clearly taught. It is not something a kid wakes up and suddenly knows how to do. Not all of BMTs injuries were due to Nederland chop blocking. Three kids got hurt by it and had back of knee injuries. Like someone said, there is a video. The Nederland Coaches wouldn't even shake the BMT Coaches hands at the end. Sore losers? Bad sportsmen? I don't know, but what did that show their kids? We are all sorry you could only score on BMTs 2nd Defense but there shouldn't have been any doubt that BMT would win, so why have your kids play dirty (their just doing what coach says) and then show them don't shake hands and give the other team a "good game". 20.

Bmt Pride, I'm glad your back thought you were done Lets see let me have some integrity, sorry for the all caps. Let me try this again. Again there is no excuse, or reasoning, or we tried, or anything for a score of 75-0 in a Pee Wee game in the STJFL.
Much better. Now i don't feel verbally attacked.  ;) Done trying to explain, not done goofing off  Your are entitled to your opinion the same as i am. i just wanted everyone to know how it went down, since none of yall were there.
A lot of Monday Morning quarterbacks...........
 21.
this is not, nor has it ever been about bmt having a stacked team this is about scoring 75 points in a pee wee footbal game period... we all understand and have heard plenty!!! about how good bmt is with their talented players,  thats beside the point. the point is scoring 75 points in a 7&8 yr old pee wee gm is unexceptable and unexcusable and should be adressed by the stjfl, to insure that it doesent happen again.
I gave you the STJFL contact list.....call em and voice your opinion.... Why do you think its neccessary to complain on a board that will do nothing?
 22.
Kountze - WOS was a great game! Excellent sportsmanship shown on the field!!  I saw both teams helping each other up and...my favorite thing  :) no having to explain some trash talk terms heard on the field after the game.  Lol
I witnessed the same thing with the kountze SR. team.....they were helping our boys up......that shows good coaching!
 23.

If non starters are running the ball, your min play rule kids are running the ball, it's not a problem.  In the past, when all of the Bmt teams were getting blanked weekly , and they were the doormat, the other teams didn't complain.
The score of 75-0 is the problem! That has never happened before and should never be allowed to happen! Every team that has played this PNG team has kept it under 40 and most under 30 because they knew it was a weaker team. Now before Beaumont gets on here and says their kids are special again, keep in mind what they are saying is that every kid on their team is 3 times better than all starters on any other team because the score was 3 times higer! It took Beaumont 3 years to build their program and they were a doormat for the first 2 but nobody ever scored 75 points on them. Say rules were not broken? I know I signed a code of ethics form every year I signed my kids up and I bet the STJFL makes the coaches agree to it too. I would bet this is covered in there. No excuses these coaches can come up with are good enough to explain it and they need to be kept away from youth sports!
This is getting out of hand.  For all the people who are willing to speculate someone must have cheated without either being there and seeing themselves or knowing the rules, here is a little something for you. I have attached the STJFL Bylaws and their contact list LINKS for your convenience.  Why don't you man up and contact the STJFL and tell them your issues. Read the ByLaws first so you won't look like a complete idiot when you claim they are breaking rules when they may not be.... That will further your cause much better than all these accusations of wrong doing.......I'm really surprised a moderator has not locked this topic [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
 24.
This is the result of not having a proper draft per STJFL Bylaws.
So are you accussing the Beaumont Team of breaking the rules because of a score? Really?
 25.
First off, in that post I say nothing about its all about fundamentals. That was a response to a post that said they lost a 2-0 game due to their pitching being hamstrung and not giving BC any credit for their pitching and defense. 2-0 not 75-0,  that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. you can try and twist this all you want, but the fact of the matter is, it was not right....
The FACT is you said and I quote " at this level.. it's about instructing them on the fundamentals of the game, team concept, and good sportsmanship, they are 7&8 yrs olds." Then you post other comments claiming a victory  :o  Either its about the win or it's not. And by the way, I read all 31 one of your post, and only one post even mentioned fundamentals....... Now spin that anyway you want, but that is what you said. I think 75-0 does seem a bit much....BUT I was not there (as you admitted you were not) and the opposing coach was fine with it.  If they did not break any rules, the opposing coach was fine with it, then we should be fine with it.  if you want to be Captain America, instead of griping on this forum, go to an STJFL meeting and stand up for what you think is right. That will help your cause WAY more that stirring the pot in this forum.....
