Who gives a **** who is a "better" Director, who puts on a "better" Tournament, these are things that are simply other individuals opinions, not "facts". Tournaments have an incredible amount of variables that go into weather it's a "good tournament" or not. All I know is that I have 2 boys that play in different age groups and both for the Gladiators, and due to a "pissing contest" (IMO) neither will be allowed to play in several tournaments their coaches had scheduled, nor be able to play at some great ballparks. I do plan on calling the USSSA Director, and maybe he can explain to my Kids, or the roughly 80 others that are now in the same boat. It's really pathetic and so are these posts, can't you guys find something productive to discuss.
Agreed. These posts are ridiculous. Hopefully yours puts a stop to this insanity.
Thats funny......... 8)

Most of the time you wouldn't find out till Thur or Fri if the tourney would fill at all, if it did then you either got to play the same 3 or 4 teams each time or was asked to play up an age bracket. 90% of all teams playing were local teams only. If you wanted to play other teams you had to got to Htown or LA to get that. USSSA 1st tourney has 68 teams signed up with less than a dozen being local. if you local teams want that to continue then I would suggest you start signing up for their tourneys and supporting an org that is trying to bring better teams to our park to play. Had Morgan been as proactive the past 5 years as he is this year, then this situation wouldn't have ever happened. Sunday ended up being a great day to play, and I think most teams enjoyed themselves and will hopefully come back. Ford park is one of the best facilities around, I would prefer to play most of my games here against better teams. I hope you will support it so they can continue to build on what just started.
Yeah I chose too after I was called on a week before about it. My team was 11u Elite at the time of that tournament now we are select(NATIONS). My team in USSSA is also AA and my kids are far from ready to play major and AAA teams, that why I pulled out of the tourney. You want to talk about results, yeah we got smashed 10-0,8-4 but I did it with LITTLE LEAGUE TALENT Kids playing against 12u SELECT kids. Im not talking down on anyone, We are new to the area and we all know it takes time for the kids to gel together. I have revamped my team since that tournament and added more pitching and Bigger bats so hopefully we are blessed that those outcomes will be different when we play up if we have too. I was told it would be hard to make a competitive team since ALL the talent was taken already, I just hope we dont catch anyone ASLEEP!
TX_RENEGADES, Don't you also go by...
I agree with smoking baby. Bh would be in serious trouble with the uil. Just last week they had 2 boys slap each other after the crosby game. I also heard there was possibly some hair pulling involved but that was not confirmed. Most of the other bh altercations should be remedied with the opening of the new family dollar.
:o

I think anytime the NA is played, you should face the flag and a minimum stand at attention. I personally put my hand over my heart and teach my son to do the same. I was taught to repect the country and flag and so will my son......

It made me think back to the time that I had to explain the N word to my kid.... "Look, Mike jr..... It's a horrible word used by some people to call a black person that points out centuries of unjust treatment and enslavement. It's also a word used by rap artists to sell m-m-m-millions of CDs, but that's different." There's two different sets of rules, ain't there, One4all? I'm way off track, so forgive me. Later.
I have no idea what that ignorant sarcastic statement was about, but this is my statement. We know when the N word is said out of hatred and ignorance. Thats the issue. Not what a rapper says that makes him all those m m millions. When we were called THAT word YEARS ago, more than likely that night, someone was being hung by a tree or killed. Some were spit on, kicked out of buses, kicked out of diners, etc... Some of these people were treated worse than animals. So when the word is said with malice, we feel differently about it. I could care less if you understand that. Thats the HATE that my grandfather and my mother dealt with when they were younger years ago. I've been told stories of hatred that you couldn't even comprehend. I totally disagree with any form of racism from any race, but hearing some stories that were told to me, CERTAIN people would have REASON to Hate another.
History Lesson First, slavery was before any of our times, and I would be willing to bet no one on this forum is pro slavery. Second, if you read your history, slaves were sold by the African government to the Europeans. I would be upset with the people who sold their own people as well.

PA Titans voted out of the STJFL????
thetragichippy replied to BigTitan's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The team only stays together for that division. Example again, 7 year old drafted to team A, stays on team A for his 8 year old year. Once the kid moves up to the next division, which would be Junior division then he goes back in the draft at 9. Whatever team drafts him, then he stays on that team his 9 and 10 year old years. When he goes to Senior tackle, then he goes in the draft again. It's not complicated and is well within the rules for multiple teams in the same organization. Not understanding your issue with this. All kids that sign up go into the draft. All teams that have multiple teams do this. Lumberton, Ned, PNG, Vidor, BC, etc..
His issue is he is trying to justify his league/team breaking the rules. -

You know what IceWater..... In my heart your on the mark. But I'm just waiting on all those to jump on the bandwagon and agree with you but then turn right around and strateically draft all the young kids this year and go winless for the great hope to be like IceWater and have a Superbowl trophy collecting dust the following year. My kids haven't won a football game in 2 years because thier coach haven't had the option to strategically draft. How do you think a kids feels when they go 0-8. Ask my kids. But at least that PNG coach can tell them, Son, We have to pay our dues for Coach to get his next year, toughen upkid! What are you talking about? Since I'm only PNG that has posted on here, I assume your talking to me. We went 5-3 last year and lost our playoff game. It's just like any other sport baseball, basketball, etc.. Depending on the age of the coaches kid he is going try to draft the kids the same age. When you have multiple teams from one community, you draft and the kid for example is 9, then they are on that team until they move up to the next division! Please don't make invalid comments about our organization when you have no clue. We happen to have a good team this year, but don't fault our coaches because the two teams could've got the same kids. BTW, all three of our teams did well this year.

Scalp'em......they have no idea what they are talking about.......keep on................... keeping on.....
