  1. (caught on film) Kicking players in the back AFTER he is on the ground, starting running back out 1st half. Refs didn't see LO's not in position and standing during quarter 1, 2, 3. FINALLY the refs decided to participate in the game. Scoring during 2ND half was 14-7. WOS dominated our offense, BUT would have been a MUCH closer game after reviewing video. This type of shotty refereeing will NOT happen in the SUPER BOWL. Hope to see y'all again, WOS- Good LUCK! ;D CONGRATS TO PNG WHITE, LUMB WHITE, WOS for winning your division. GOOD LUCK to all the teams in the playoffs! I've heard 2 different versions about the running back. First, he was blocked in the back. Then he was kicked. We asked the refs who did it,but nobody (coaches or refs) could tell us who it was. When you find out who (should be able to see it on film), please let me know and I will personally handle it. We don't play like that and my kids know better. As far as the refs go, I seem to recall that every penalty in the book was called on us in the second half. And we didn't do anything different from the first half. Bottom line is you guys got beat. Now in no way am I gloating or throwing it in y'alls faces, but it is what it is. And like I told y'alls head coach, Nederland White is a heck of a team and will do well in the playoffs. But please don't taint our victory with excuses and accusations. Fact is the better team won. Convincingly. Good Luck to all in the playoffs. Should be very interesting..... Great Job Previs! As y'all continue to coach in this league u will hear all kinds of excuses. Especially win a team is 7-0 and plays Wos and don't show up at all like yesterday. First of all you have them beat before the game ever starts. Know why? Because half of the kids or intimidated by the WOS FLY MUSTANG ON OUR HELEMT. Second if our kids make a big hit the first play of the game. Third all week there coaches tell there kids don't let them get outside because they are fast. Then u bust one up the middle on them. So now there kids are like i thought coach side don't let them outside. They just run up the middle and scored a long TD. Fourth there game plan is all screwed up now because you're running up the middle and they have kids spread out from sideline to side line. So Previs keep UP THE GREAT WORK AT THE PEEWEE LEVEL. I BEEN COACHING IN THIS LEAUGE FOR 4 YEARS AND I DONE HEARD IT ALL WHEN WOS BEATS TEAMS THAT SUPPOSE TO BE GOOD. « Last Edit: Today at 02:22:44 PM by WOS 98 » Good thing you edited that post
  2. Not sure who you are talking to, but read my previous post, my kid is fine.
  3. You are NOT KIDDING. It's a different world today versus 20 years ago. The digital age has helped and hurt us!
  4. If this was not directed at rusted, why didn't you put it on the other game thread? This thread was to apologize. Rusted, great post and I think we have all had out moments on here. This showed CLASS!
  5. unfortunately, both of your examples would get the schools attention and result in some sort of discipline. IMO, the schools jobs ends when the bell rings. I take raising my kid very seriously. He would much rather be punished through the school than by me. Politics have taken over everywhere. Believe me when I say this Chippy, you are very much in the minority in this department. Most schools have all these rules to deal with the ones that parents do not even know where their children are half the time. So, before we start with all the schools jobs ends when the bell rings, look around and see how all this could affect your child. Phones with cameras will get you in some very deep trouble. And as for politics, they have been around since before the first rule or law was made......someone always feels they have been slighted in some form or fashion. I would agree with you on all your points, but that does not change what should be versus what is. 1. When I got in trouble in school, I was worried about what my parents would take away. That was from grade school to high school....and dang near to college ;D . I would race home to make sure I told them first, shame on me if they found out through someone else besides me! 2. They knew where I was at every moment. They called and followed up to make sure I was were I told them. 3. They asked to see my grades and knew weeks ahead when they would come out. They gave me warnings if I was not A or B, I had 2-4 weeks before grades. They cared!! Although, I didn't like it back then. My Dad was a good friend although I was scared as heck of him if I did something wrong. Well, it's 2009 and I have a son of my own. He's 8 and very independent and hard headed. A duplicate of his Father. I pray that he makes better choices than I did (and I did OK, no criminal record ;D ) I want him to be perfect and I am always teaching life lessons. I'm no superman and I make mistakes. I am living proof that in 2009 I don't need the government or the school to raise my child. As a matter of fact, I resent them even trying. As far as I'm concerned, the school does stop after the bell rings because I don't need them!! P.S. As a disclaimer, I do respect teachers and think they are under paid. I agree and if you stay involved in your childs life, for you school will stop when the bell rings..... I have a son, 14 and a daughter 12 and I was raised the same as you and I have the same expectations of mine. We had rules etc when I was in school, not near as many as we do today, but we had alot of additional expectations from our coaches. This included anything we got into after school or on weekends. And after my coaches got done, I still had to deal with my parents. THIS IS NOT THE CASE SO MUCH ANYMORE. We have come to a society where parents want to defend their kids actions instead of holding them more accountable. I see that all the time. My kid tried it on me a couple times...."the teacher don't like me". I tell him that's going to happen from time to time throughout life. You must go back to school and figure out a way to "get along". She/He don't have to like you, they just have to teach you. I had a talk with the teacher and found out what was going on. I supported the teacher. My kid never knew I had that talk and I will never tell him. Too many parents want to blame the teachers for the child's screw ups. All they are raising is an excuse maker.........

  7. At school, yes I think it should be banned and punishment should be given. ya think? At home it's none of the schools business. YA think? Joking aside, the digital phones can tarnish a reputation very quickly. It should be up to the parent NOT the school to teach them about ethics and common sense. When I was a teen my mom came up and said, "Son I need to talk to you about something I found in your room." I said, "Mom, the beer isnt mine--its my friends." She said, "No.......Im talking about the magazine!" Double the trouble! ;D It happend at home and she took care of it. If it happens at School- the school will handle it....then the parents. Thanks FUNNY........I think everyone has had a similar situation.
  8. So how do you determine if the school should or shouldn't be involved? In this case the parents are very involved. Are you wanting the school to discipline over the parents? If not where do you draw the line. We can't have it both ways. You can't have the school determine if they are the only authority or not, or if the parent isn't making the right choice for the child. I have to say I disagree with what you are saying. The school is responsible for discipline at school and at school functions and or events not what happens at home or away from campus on the weekends. Now code of conduct policies I do understand. However, I also believe in the fact that the government already has too much power. Less is more. TD.....I'm 100% in agreement! The schools job ends when the school bell rings! If the parents are not involved, thats sad, but none of the schools business! There are circumstances that apply to after the bell, especially if you wear any type of school sponsored uniform. A couple of years ago, several WB softball players showed up at an off-campus fight that was shown on you-tube and eventually made its way into mainstream media. They were wearing game day jerseys, and just being present brought them a week long suspension from playing. This not only applied to the girls that were on camera in the background, but to all of those wearing jerseys that admitted to being there. Agree or disagree, but the enforcement sent a message to all students that represent the school to be careful where they choose to be seen. Weed, I should have been more specific in my post. If students are stupid enough to go off campus representing their school, then they invite the school to get involved. I was mainly addressing off campus mischief when the students are not representing their school. ie.........house wrapping, a party, emails between friends, etc.....

  12. That's a great question. Do you have an answer for it? I'm not real sure what part politics plays in the whole thing but everyone has an opinion. Personal opinion....the schools and school boards try to have too much power off school grounds. The schools should educate our kids period.... and let the parents (or authorities) handle off campus activities. I think the mystery is what has gotten everyones attention.
  13. If there are no rumors, speculations or assumptions, what would there be to talk about? Thats Funny..............1 1/2 pages left
  14. So I take it that you are backing out of our bet on who advances in the playoffs deeper? Typical. : Just to save face for WOS I will keep skippers Coke bet. I will bet a Coke on just about anything. I don't even like Coke unless it comes in a blue can. ;D That's good of you TD, but I never wanted to bet just a coke. But it seems that's all that skip could afford. I was willing to put $100 or more on the bet. A soda bet is a waste of time but that's okay. I can't wait for this poker game..........AAW talks a good game
  15. 'Film'? What are you talking about? Your game or somebody elses? Look....I just expressed a simple opinion. Pull the knot out of your drawers. Jeez, you Lumberton guys take youth league football way too serious. Hey everybody else? Are we not supposed to respond on this forum? Is it not allowed by the Lumberton association or something? This forum is about junior projections so I responded. What's up this guys tooter?I didn't know I couldn't have an opinion and yours was the only one that counted. Im talking about BC/LUM WHITE since thats what you keep referring too. You say its gonna be different because their defense has improved and gonna shutdown our gimmick offense. What I am asking you is how is their offense going to score being that they had only one first down when we played. Did they hire some real coaches? If you think Lumberton guys take youth football too seriously, your the one that keeps mouthing about something you have no clue about!!!! You have something else to say to me, I AM THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR (MAGICIAN) FOR LUMBERTON JUNIOR WHITE. You can look at the STJFL SCHEDULE and find out where I will be for the next 5 weeks!! And there it is...exactly what I expected from a Lumberton coach. You now want to resort to a face to face over someone having an opinion.Number one, didn't you embarass yourselves enough last year with that type of juvenile behavior...really (and in front of your own children)? It seems to me you guys are just looking for a fight instead of looking forward to enjoying watching your children play ball. Two, Ltrain, I didn't say anything detrimental about the kids on that team. I applaude thier effort for what they've done. It takes heart and effort to make any offense or defense work and apparently they give lots of both on the field. I tell you what...how about you guys back up, calm down, take a pill...whatever. If its all right I'll END this apparently WAAAAYYYY too sensitive subject by giving you my predictions for two of this weeks top games. Lumberton White over Nederland white (does that make you boys feel better?) Bridge City over WOS Blue (gonna be a tough one for both) One of these four teams will face WOS white in the Junior division Superbowl! How's that? Anybody else wanna blow up over my opinions or lose touch with reality.Jeez...Good Luck to all! That's an awful big brush stroke......I'm a Lumberton Coach. You have made 5 post.....why don't you stop there

When you tell another coach/team that they don't run a "real offense" that's more than just a prediction (even though you wrote projection), that's telling them they don't run a correct offense. This "unreal" offense has scored 241 points averaging 40.2 points per game.....second only to WOS-White averaging 42.6. I would call this a real offense.......they also run a real defense when you look at how few points any team has scored.
